💛 This is Matt Cordes, Chief Black Eagle Man, who shared with our Sacred Grief group from the Lakota Sioux tradition. He spoke about the Keeping of the Spirit Ceremony, a sacred practice that honors loved ones after death. It was truly a powerful and moving experience for everyone who attended.

The Sacred Grief group meets twice a year in Louisville and offers a space to explore how faith traditions guide us through loss and healing. Be on the lookout for our spring session.

On Wednesday, April 23, volunteers and staff from our Western Kentucky office gathered to celebrate and show appreciation for our amazing volunteers.

Many of our volunteers have had loved ones receive hospice services, and they understand just how much compassion and support mean to our patients and families. As English poet Joseph Addison said, "No one is more cherished in this world than someone who lightens the burden of another."

Thank you, Hosparus Health Western Kentucky Volunteers, for helping to shine a light on the lives of those we serve. We are so grateful for each of you!
