08/21/2023

My Jeff is in no more pain. He went to be with the Lord last night. I am so sad and rejoicing for him at the same time. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

Jeff in now in hospice. He is in a private home where I know he is safe. His kidneys are failing. He had a stroke and can no longer communicate well. Hospice nurse says he is in transitional phase of passing. Could be days or weeks before he goes to heaven with God. We are just keeping him comfortable and loving him ❤️

Please pray pray pray that I do God's will and make right decisions for Jeff.Have meeting with Doctors tomorrow.

Jeff is not doing well. He is showing signs of kidney failure. He is incoherent most of the time now. I love him so much and it breaks my heart to see him suffer so much. I just want to hold him and make everything better but I know it is in God's hands. Please continue praying God will give him comfort.

Jeff has been dealing with a lot of nausea the last couple of days. Prayers for it to subside.

Prayers being answered. When infection is gone, they figure late September or October he will be able to have surgery to stabilize bone pressing on spine. This will help his pain level. Then he can start extensive rehab. We are really excited to have hope again.

Tomorrow we meet with neuro surgeon. Pray he has good news that Jeff can have surgery to relieve some of his pain.

Thank you for continued prayers. Jeff has been moved to VA spinal cord section. Still dealing with infection, alot of pain and now severe anxiety attacks. When he has one he will call me and I try to calm him down with breathing and relaxing muscles. It seems to help. Please also pray for me to have continued strength to do all I can to help him.

Well change of plans. Jeff has been moved to VA Medical Center. We are thankful to God for this move. This is where we want him to be. I know my late husband received excellent care there. They are already working on antibiotics for his spine infection. They also have an excellent spinal cord injury department. I feel like I can finally
take a relaxing breath for the first time in weeks. Thank you all for the continued prayers. They have definitely been a comfort to both of us. I will keep yall posted as things progress. Sending love to each and everyone of yall.

Jeff is moving to a home setting today. Please pray he receives good care and is happy there.

Things have been crazy. Just trying to keep Jeff comfortable. Because of bone chip pressing against his spinal cord, he is in excruciating pain. After alot of crying, the decision was made today to put him in hospice. He will be able to receive more meds to help him stay comfortable. Please continue to pray for him. I cherish every minute God gives us together until he is taken to Heaven.

Thank you for all the continued prayers. Because of the vertebrates that have broken in his back, he has lost all function of his legs. He may be moved from ICU to a neuro room soon. Our new goal is for him to be able though rehab to learn how to move himself from bed to wheelchair so he can come home. It will be a long process but we are thankful to have each other to lean on in this new adventure. Jeff I love you with all my heart and will continue to be by your side.

Need prayers. Moment of legs has decreased. He is in MRI now. Waiting to find out what is happening. Thank you for prayers. It is a comfort for us.

Praise the Lord. We are out of ICU and in a room. Moving forward one step at a time. Please keep praying. Needless to say I have been a little rattled since this started. I want to say thank you to each one who has taken the time to comment. It has been a great comfort to us. I pray the Lord will ease his pain. With your continued prayers, God will let him walk again.
