The sun is out and temps are rising — now’s the time to protect your skin!

Did you know certain medications can make you more sensitive to sunlight? At Wilson Bearden Pharmacy, we’re here to help you enjoy the sunshine safely.

🛡️ Smart Sun Safety Tips:
✅ Wear protective clothing, wide-brimmed hats, and UV-blocking sunglasses
✅ Find shade, especially from 10 AM – 4 PM
✅ Use SPF 30+ broad-spectrum sunscreen (water-resistant!)

💊 Watch for sun sensitivity if you’re taking:
• Antibiotics (like doxycycline, ciprofloxacin)
• Antihistamines (cetirizine, promethazine)
• Cholesterol meds (simvastatin, atorvastatin)
• Diuretics (furosemide, HCTZ)
• NSAIDs (ibuprofen, naproxen)
• Birth control or estrogen
• Retinoids (isotretinoin)
• Sulfa or diabetes meds (glipizide, glyburide)
