Want a guaranteed way to hurt your back this Thanksgiving? The Most common combo of movements that lead to people coming to me with a “hot” lower back is a combination of bending, twisting, and picking something up or buckling a child into a car seat. If you can avoid that combo and try to lift things straight on with your hips and not your back, you should be able to avoid calamity this holiday season!

A kid gets sick or needs a leg cast for 6 weeks? No problem. Mom has cookies decorated to look like an x-ray and paints Timmy's bedroom to match the cast. Dad has Man-Flu? Mom makes his favorite soup and sets up The Office to watch on repeat until he recovers. Mom gets injured... PANDEMONIUM! It CAN'T happen! Husbands- protect your MVP family member and get her under care ASAP! Prevention is better than cure (although we have cure on the menu, too).
