St. Patrick Day celebration today while also recognizing Resident March birthdays. Tommy Eason sang and had the party rocking. Staff dressed out to be the Dudneywood “Shamrocks”. Tommy Phillips won the treasure hunt. Happy Birthday to Marlene Smith, Tommie Phillips, Maxine Broom, Barbara Leonard, and Michael Warren. Lucky for All!!!

2026 Milan Cortina Olympics celebrated with Dudneywood style challenges of air hockey, target shoot, balloon volley ball and torch musical chairs. Residents received medals for consistent activity participation. Italian lunch and celebration snacks were enjoyed. Shirl shared Olympic facts to make all more informed and recognize USA medals to date. Go USA!

Game On! Getting Ready for Super Bowl with Patriots vs Seahawks. Spirits high today with Columbia Christian School Junior and Senior Cheerleafing Squads to raise the football spirits. Competition on with Residents choosing the team each is placing a bet on winning score to win a prize after the game. SAU football players challenged Residents with a “touchdown toss” and Mathew, SAU quarterback, entertained us on piano and ball toss. The guys are great to come join Residents in challenging intergenetational activities. Nachos (even with the tuff who had jalapenos ), corn dogs and sodas were enjoyed. Ms. Patsy Hunter even showed off using the hula hoop goal to show us how she can throw a straight touchdown ball pass but also still can hula hoop! Great day - ready for Super Bowl Sunday! Thank you Encompass always for sharing Sandy with us to make our Residents happy and helping staff! 👏👏👏👍❤️
