Meet the WALKERS!
Curt and Amy Walker moved to Magnolia in 2008 and were blessed with the opportunity to buy Quantum Rehab in 2009. Curt graduated from University of South Alabama in 1995 with a dream of one day owning his own clinic and the purchase of Quantum made this dream a reality. This dream was further realized in February of 2018 when he was able to design our current location of 1016 North Jackson. Amy was a school teacher for 17 years before leaving the classroom in 2015 to become the office manager for Quantum. “We have the best co-workers around and because of them Quantum has been successful. We are truly a family who love God, one another, and our patients.”
Curt brings 30 years of experience into our field and has worked in all therapy settings: acUte care, wound care, nursing home, home health, pediatrics, and his favorite, our outpatient setting. Curt has spent the last 30 years continuing to learn about our profession and along with Kelly and Becky brought LSVT for our patients with Parkinson’s to Magnolia. In 2014 a patient’s doctor prescribed dry needling and after research, Curt began the year long process of becoming Level 2 certified bringing another service to our clinic. Curt’s knowledge and expertise in his field and his strength as a leader and confidence in our Quantum family fosters an environment where each of our therapists flourishes and brings the absolute best care and outcomes for our patients and their families.
Curt is a member of both the APTA and ArPTA. Curt also represented the state of Arkansas with the APTA as the Federal Affairs Liaison and traveled each spring from 2016-2022 to Washington D.C. to meet with fellow therapists and our Congressman.
Curt and Amy enjoy watching sports, cooking, scuba diving, and traveling the world together (with a slight love for cruising). Curt and Amy love serving the community alongside one another and our Quantum family. Our Faith and relationship with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior is the center of our lives and Quantum. He has blessed us beyond measure and we are humbled He allows us to serve our community.
Curt and Amy are active members of Central Baptist Church where they attend with their children: Garrett, 32, an educator at Magnolia Middle School, Christian,29, an RN, and Kayla, 25, who is an educator at Magnolia High School. Curt and Amy recently became grandparents when Garrett and Bailey, Eastside librarian, brought home Larry Wayne in August.
