This week, we are proud to celebrate Howard! Howard has lived a life full of dedication, wisdom, and love for family. A proud Air Force veteran and University of Iowa College of Law graduate, he spent his career as an attorney for a banking institution. He enjoys keeping up with current events, reading newspapers and books, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes and Green Bay Packers. 📚🏈

Howard treasures time spent with his daughters, Rebecca and Deborah, and often reflects on the happiest moments of his life being with his wife and wonderful family. He enjoys classic television, old shows, and peaceful moments doing things independently. We are honored to learn more about Howard’s story and celebrate the life experiences that make him such a valued part of our community. 💙

Liz led a fun and relaxing sugar scrub activity, giving our nurses the chance to create their own self-care treats to help them unwind after long days of caring for others.

Celebrating National Nurses Week with a huge shout‑out to our amazing Regional Nurse Consultant, Kim Orlando!

Kim leads with heart, teaches with passion, and cares with a level of dedication that inspires everyone around her. She loves Memory Care, loves educating, and loves making a difference in the lives of seniors.

She’s also a proud mom to Nina and Dominick, and dog‑mom to Buddy, her little shadow.

Kim became a nurse because she wanted to support people during their most vulnerable moments—and thirty years later, long‑term care has become her calling.

Kim, we are so lucky to have you. Thank you for your compassion, your leadership, and your unwavering commitment to our residents and team members.

✨ Resident of the Week: Emma "Louise" ✨

This week, we’re proud to celebrate Louise, a woman whose life has been rooted in love, generosity, and a whole lot of talent. As a devoted farm wife, she found joy in gardening, sewing, and bringing her family together for big, heartfelt meals where her cooking and baking truly shined. Louise has always had a giving spirit—volunteering with 4-H and Girl Scouts, helping at local food and clothing pantries, hosting foreign exchange students, and teaching Sunday school. If something needed doing, she was already there doing it.

Louise’s creativity is stitched into everything she touches, from sewing wedding dresses and clothing for others to quilting keepsakes for her family. She has always been her family’s biggest cheerleader, supporting her children and grandchildren in every activity, and later enjoying traveling with her husband, Claude. Today, she still lights up when surrounded by family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
