One year 🤍

A year ago, our doors opened.
A space that had been imagined, created, and built with so much love… finally became real.

And then you all started walking in.

Little by little, class by class, this place became something so much more than a studio. It became familiar faces, conversations before and after class, shared breaths, and a space where people could just… be.

There have been so many beautiful moments this past year.

To every teacher who has held this space with so much care…
To every student who has walked through our doors and trusted us with their practice…

Something we’ll get to once life slows down… once the to-do list is finished… once everything is finally under control.

But calm isn’t just a nice feeling.
It’s essential for our well-being.

A calm mind helps regulate the nervous system, lowers stress, improves clarity, and supports overall health. It’s where resilience, confidence, and real strength begin to grow.

Not all wounds are visible.

Some live quietly in the body.
In the tension you can’t quite release.
In the breath that feels shallow.
In the patterns that repeat even when you’re trying so hard to change.

Addiction and trauma don’t just affect the mind.
They shape the nervous system.
They teach the body to stay on guard.

Healing, then, isn’t only about thinking differently.
It’s about learning how to feel safe again in your own body.

Somatic Yoga for Recovery is a space for that remembering.

Through slow, intentional movement and breath, we begin to soften what has been held for so long. No forcing. No fixing. Just listening, honoring, and allowing the body to guide the way back to balance.

🌙 Have you had the chance to flow with Melinda yet?

What started as a way to support her running training turned into something much deeper. When Melinda first stepped onto her mat in 2012, she wasn’t expecting the sense of freedom she felt — or the way yoga would gently quiet her anxiety and open a path toward healing.

What she discovered was more than movement. It was a safe space. A return to breath. A reminder of her inner light. 🤍

Melinda completed her 200 RYT in 2018 and continues to evolve as both a student and teacher. Her classes are rooted in presence — linking breath and movement in a way that grounds you in the moment while inviting you to grow. Expect thoughtful sequencing, strength, creativity, and space to deepen your connection to yourself.

You can practice with Melinda at Crescent Moon for Yin Yoga on Fridays at 5:30 PM — the perfect way to soften into your weekend. 🌿

Join Leslie Corren for the 200-Hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training & In-Depth Philosophy Study (Yoga Alliance Certified) at Crescent Moon Yoga — a transformative journey from September 26, 2026 – May 22, 2027.

This training takes place over 11½ immersive weekends, making it accessible for those balancing work, family, and life — while still allowing for deep integration and growth.
