🎉 Welcome Dr. Rachel Tauber!
The Vital Force Team is growing! We are so excited to announce the addition of our newest performance physical therapist Dr. Rachel Tauber!
Dr. Tauber is a licensed Physical Therapist who specializes in recreational and high school athletes. She specifically is passionate about treating barbell athletes (olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, and crossfit), volleyball players, and football players. She completed an orthopedic residency through Samaritan Health Services in Oregon where she was also able to participate in the sports residency residency conferences. She has completed sideline and training room coverage with THE Ohio State University’s football team and with a local high school in Oregon. She completed her Doctor of Physical Therapy at Ohio State University where she did rotations in an outpatient orthopedic clinic, cash-based sports and orthopedic setting, and Ohio State Athletics.
Before becoming a physical therapist, Dr. Tauber earned her master’s degree in exercise physiology with a certificate of graduate study in sports psychology. She taught strength and conditioning and exercise science courses at Northern Illinois University and Aurora University. Even though she is now a physical therapist, she consistently incorporates her strength and conditioning and sports psychology background into her treatments. Rachel’s treatment philosophy is treating the whole person rather than pigeonholing into a specific joint.
Rachel is originally from Buffalo Grove IL, which is a northwest suburb of Chicago. In her free time, Rachel enjoys hiking, traveling, paddleboarding, Olympic weightlifting, photography, going to concerts, and hanging out with her cat, Atlas. She has competed in various local Olympic weightlifting competitions and has goals to elevate to national competitions.
Be sure to give her a warm welcome next time you see her at the gym! 👋🏻
Dr. Rachel is now accepting appointments at our clinic office located in EvoFit
