I was strongly reminded recently of all our deepest shared roots by the circumstance of our Elder and Teacher's death. I became one of the members of a Spiritual Elders Council for an ancient pre-rabbinical, polytheistic, Feminine Goddess, primitive Hebrew group to preserve and share the original teaching of this group and that of our teacher.
As part of this Elders Council, I was recently emphatically asked where our group stands on the most recent hostilities between Hamas and Israel. I personally find it inappropriate to answer in black and white or in for or against terms. I do not speak for our group but for myself, here and now.
So, rather than a "for or against" positional statement, my personal statement reminds us of our roots. Both sides in this most recent conflict in the Middle East are primarily indigenous and from the same tribal roots as the Canaanite tribes. We HAVE to get back to our deeper and shared connections rather than our differences and feelings of separation ... we have to get back to the Garden and heal from our Original trauma of having to leave the Garden and feeling we are separate. So ... my answer is a song about getting back to The Garden we feel in the depths of our being and in our bones:
