The Maitland Fire-Rescue Department will present a certified CPR and AED class from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, at City Hall, 1776 Independence Lane.

Bring a towel or mat and a water bottle. This program led by firefighters/paramedics is ideal for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers who need to be trained and certified in CPR AED for the adult, child, or infant.

Training is certified by the American Safety and Health Institute.

A huge thank you to Daniel from for spending time with our Speech-Language Pathologists during an in-house, hands-on AAC training. Our clinicians had the opportunity to explore the most current devices, software, apps, and evidence-based strategies to better support language development and functional communication for our clients.

❄️ Snow much learning happening here! ❄️

Winter fun isn’t just about play — it’s packed with early language and listening magic ✨
Today we made snow and explored ice painting while building:
👂 Listening skills (wait… listen… GO!)
🗣️ Early language (cold, wet, melt, more, stop!)
🎨 Sensory-rich experiences that spark curiosity and communication

Vocabulary words with a variety of modifiers with sizes and colors were hidden in the snow for finding and sorting!

Through hands-on winter play, little ears learn to tune in and little voices learn to speak up — all while having SNOW much fun ☃️💙

Because when learning feels joyful, language grows naturally.
