🍎 This Week at GTG we’re diving into all things apples! We’re reading fun fall favorites like 10 Apples Up On Top and Apple Farmer Annie, exploring colors, sizes, and counting with red, green, and yellow apples, and using our senses while making homemade applesauce! 🍏🎨 Through songs, stories, and play, we’re building vocabulary, practicing listening and following directions, and learning new concepts like big vs. small and sweet vs. sour. From apple stamping art to pretend apple markets and taste tests, our little learners will have a bushel of fun while growing their language and listening skills! 🍎

Building the future—literally! 🚀

Today, our little engineer-in-training put his problem-solving skills to work with this giant construction set! 🛠️ Using big pieces means big movement—perfect for building upper extremity strength, coordination, and bilateral control as he connects, twists, and balances each piece in place.

But the magic doesn’t stop there! Activities like this also challenge executive functioning skills—planning what to build, organizing the materials, adapting when pieces don’t fit quite right, and seeing the project through from start to finish.

Play with a purpose is what OT is all about—helping kids dream big while developing the skills they need for school, play, and life. And who knows… maybe one day you’ll see him designing skyscrapers or rockets! 🌟”

We are excited to launch Thrive Resource Center, where we empower families, connect support team members, and foster growth. One of the phrases we say all the time at GTG is “We are Learners, not Knowers.” What we mean by this, is that there is always an area of opportunity for growth and learning. When we are able to get curious about the world around us, we are able to grow deeper in connections and understanding.

Thrive Resource Center at Gabriel Therapy Group is a hub of connection, insight and empowerment for families raising their children with varying abilities. We believe that when parents are equipped with knowledge, supported with community, and empowered to lead their child’s journey, the entire team around the child becomes stronger.

🌲✨ This Week at GTG! ✨🌲

We’re going into the woods for a week of campfire fun, nature exploration, and hands-on adventures—right in the therapy room! 🔦🐛🪵

Our incredible SLPs, OTs, and PTs are using books, bugs, binoculars, and pretend play to help kids build communication, coordination, and confidence—all while having a blast! From roasting (plastic) hot dogs to searching for creepy crawlies, every activity is packed with purpose.

🎒 Speech Therapy: Building vocabulary with camping-themed stories and games
🪶 Occupational Therapy: Strengthening fine motor skills through pretend cooking, tool use and planning
⛺ Physical Therapy: Climbing, balancing, and gross motor fun with adventure-themed play
