Definition of Family 🥹💙🧡

Today we wore orange and blue in memory of our dear friend, Bill. 💙🧡

Bill was the heart of our halls — always social, always smiling, always dressed head to toe in his beloved Gators colors. Every day he made his rounds with hugs, visits, and stories, never forgetting to bring me the latest Winn-Dixie ad from the paper.

He wasn’t just a resident; he was family. His presence filled our days with joy, and his absence leaves a space that won’t be easily filled. We are so grateful for the time we had with him, and he will forever be a part of our Windsor family.

Rest easy, Bill. We’ll miss you. 💙🧡🐊

We are so proud to share that our NHA at Balanced Healthcare, Dan Frenden, received the Arthur H. Harris Government Services Award at Florida Health Care Association Conference.

This award highlights a FHCA member who actively engages in the Association’s legislative initiatives and advocates on behalf of the profession and long-term care residents at multiple levels.

We would like to take a moment to congratulate one of our very own, Ashley Montgomery, Unit Manager at Brynwood Health and Rehabilitation, on receiving The Bruce Taylor Scholarship sponsored by the Florida Health Care Association and Education Foundation.

This scholarship was named after the 1980-1982 FHCA president, Bruce Taylor, who was instrumental in moving the association to Tallahassee and negotiated on the Gainesville Plan. The Gainesville Plan was Florida’s first Medicaid reimbursement plan for nursing centers.
