There is another service being offered this evening at 7pm. This one is organized by The Interfaith Council of Central Florida is organizing and hosted by First United Methodist Church of Orlando (142 East Jackson Street, Orlando, FL 32801). They report that the event will include participation by representatives of the Baha’i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Humanist, Jewish, Muslim, Sikh and Unitarian Universalist traditions. “Orlando is a city of rich diversity,” says James Coffin, Executive Director of the Interfaith Council of Central Florida. “This service provides a venue where those reflecting that rich diversity can gather under one roof to reflect upon the tragedy we’ve collectively faced so we can find strength and inspiration as, together, we work to bring healing and wholeness to our community.” The public—whether of faith or no faith—is invited.
