Congratulations to our brothers and sisters in Kissimmee! 24/72 work schedule!

The Kissimmee Fire Department is set to become the first in Central Florida to adopt a 24/72 shift schedule, offering firefighters an extra day of rest without a pay cut — a move city officials say will improve morale and retention, though it comes at a cost to property owners.

Reminder that this week's Wednesday story time will feature Maitland's first responders!

These events can get crowded, so please be patient while finding parking. Admission will be on a first come, first serve basis until we reach capacity. For safety reasons, we cannot accommodate everyone in our meeting room, but everyone is welcome to join us in Quinn Strong Park to see the emergency vehicles.

This year, the Florida Legislature passed HB 929. This piece of legislation recognizes a 42 hour work week as a best practice in the state of Florida and supports our firefighters and their families.
