Doing more, moving faster, staying constantly busy... that is usually what gets rewarded. But the body does not work that way.
When the nervous system is constantly in a high-stress state, focus drops, energy becomes inconsistent, and simple tasks start to feel harder than they should. This is where burnout starts to build.
Slowing down helps create space for the body to regulate. That might look like better boundaries, more intentional breaks, or supporting sleep and recovery. From that place, focus becomes clearer. Energy becomes more stable. Work becomes more efficient.
If everything has been feeling a bit harder than it should, it might not be about doing more.
