One tissue donor can heal up to 75 people — restoring mobility, sight, and hope through the gift of skin, bone, tendons, and more. That single “yes” can help heal wounds, restore movement, and bring hope back to countless families.

At OurLegacy, we remember every donor hero and the countless lives touched by their incredible generosity. 💙

One organ donor can save up to 8 lives — through the gift of the heart, lungs, liver, pancreas, kidneys, and intestines. That single “yes” can give parents more time, children second chances, and families renewed hope.

At OurLegacy, we honor every donor hero and the lives forever changed by their selfless decision. 💚

Last week, more than 150 skeins of yarn and $590 were donated to Knit Hope to make blankets for our donor families! On this special night, we joined donor mom Pia Raucci along with her family and friends in honoring our donor hero, Charles Connelly, at The Boardroom in Cocoa Beach.

A beautiful painting of Charles surfing hangs in this restaurant that he helps construct with his own hands, and now his legacy lives on through a special plaque dedicated in his memory. Surrounded by family and friends, we celebrated his life, his gift, and the lasting impact he continues to make.

Charles' legacy continues to inspire our community to consider their own legacy by registering as an organ donor.

Saving lives starts with a caring community who says "Yes" during a driver's license transaction at our Tax Collector partner offices. A big shoutout to our volunteers for joining us in thanking frontline workers at the Tax Collector offices who help register our community as heroes!

As part of National DMV Appreciation Month, our volunteers assembled and filled boxes to send to our tax collector's offices and share "The Gift of Life is Always in Bloom" in partnership with you. We're excited for next month's Volunteer Day, happening Thursday, October 16th. We hope to see you there!

97% of our registry starts with our tax collector partners. They are integral to growing the registry.

This National DMV Appreciation Month, we thank Kelly Quince, Merritt Island Tax Collector and friend of donor hero, Charles Connelly's stepmom, Pia Raucci. "I have personally seen how organ donation can help save people. While it comes at an extreme sadness there is a wholesome feeling knowing they were able to help several people. I think organ donation is something everyone should consider doing. That is the reason I not only ask every customer. I truly believe Donate Life is a very special organization that helps hundreds if not thousands of people."

Last week, we were honored to participate in the panel discussion, “Navigating the Path of Your End-of-Life Journey” hosted at Celebration Foundation. Alongside our partners at Dignity Memorial, we had the privilege of honoring donor hero Dylan Lee and his family for the gift of life he gave to others.

A special thank-you to the Lee family Celebration Sanitation for supporting this important event that helped spark honest conversation around end-of-life choices and the power of organ, eye, and tissue donation.

Every conversation has the power to save lives. By sharing Dylan’s story and creating space for these discussions, we hope to inspire more families to talk openly about their wishes.

Start the conversation today. Talk with your loved ones about organ donation and consider registering as a donor at RegisterMe.org or on the Health app for iPhone users.

As we enter a season of gratitude, we’re reminded of the incredible gift of life made possible through organ, eye and tissue donation.

"Two years ago today, my phone rang with the words I’d been praying to hear: 'We have a kidney for you.' In that moment, everything changed. Today marks not just my transplant anniversary, but the continuation of my second chance at life.
To the donor family there are no words adequate for my gratitude. Two years later, I don’t take a single morning for granted. Every sunrise, every laugh, every hug, every ordinary moment is extraordinary because I’m here to experience it.
This anniversary celebrates the miraculous power of human compassion and the reminder that we’re all connected in ways more profound than we can imagine."
-Kam, Kidney Recipient

To donor families everywhere: thank you. Your generosity and compassion turn heartbreak into hope.

Our first Multicultural Affairs and Partnerships Meet & Greet was a success! Stacey Grey, our Multicultural Affairs Manager, had the privilege of connecting with many of our multicultural families for an evening of food, fellowship, and storytelling. Families shared powerful memories of their loved ones and brought forward amazing ideas for the future. This was just the first of many gatherings to come -- thank you to everyone who joined us!
