If struggling to reach or**sm with stimulation sounds familiar, read on…⤵️⤵️⤵️

One of the main recommendations I give my patients is something that doesn't have any side effects.

Vi*****rs are one of the BEST devices to help women struggling to reach or**sm. 🥳 🥳 🥳

You may be hesitant to consider one, but think of it this way:

If you have difficulty hearing ➡️ you use hearing aids.
If you have difficulty seeing ➡️ you use glasses.
If you have difficulty having an or**sm ➡️ you use a vi****or.

If you have a fabulous or**sm with a vi****or, they we know that your blood flow is working, your nerves are working, but you just need more direct stimulation.

If you are fearful about bringing a vi****or into the bedroom with your partner, realize that most men really want their partner to be satisfied. They WANT their partner to enjoy s*x as much as they do. So adding that vi****or is not a challenge to them, it actually increases their enjoyment as well.

Right when we first fall in love with someone or in the beginning of a relationship, oxytocin levels are generally elevated, and they remain elevated for the first 6 months. So a lot of people equate oxytocin as the love hormone. ❤️ 🥰 🔥 🌈

🦋Oxytocin suppresses ACTH

🦋 ACTH is what causes us to release cortisol.

🦋 High oxytocin = low ACTH and low cortisol = less stress

We can actually see this reproduced on brain scans! 🧠 🧠 🧠

We know that in the brain, the centers that modulate our stress are the hippocampus and the amygdala. And if you give a patient an oxytocin infusion, blood flow to those areas of the brain quiets down. It literally means that oxytocin is quieting the stress centers of the brain. ☮️

Patients then report less stress and anxiety when their brain is flooded with oxytocin.

Many people say that being in love is just a chemical state and in many ways it is. If we flood your brain with enough oxytocin, you're going to feel strong attachment and low stress levels, low anxiety levels to whatever the stimulus is that is making that oxytocin happen.

Get your boost of oxytocin with regular s*x!

A hysterectomy involves removing the uterus and cervix. 😷 🙆🏼‍♀️

The uterus itself does not produce any hormones, so when we remove it, you're likely not going to notice any fall in hormones. 🎉 👍🏼

In fact, most women find that s*x is significantly improved after hysterectomy because the reason they needed the hysterectomy in the first place has been resolved.

❤️ She's no longer having heavy flooding or bleeding.
❤️ She's no longer having pelvic pain.
❤️ She's no longer having fibroids that are bloating her.
❤️ She’s no longer having pain with deep pe*******on.

Removing the ovaries is a whole different ballgame.

Ovaries are the main source of estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. So removing one or both of the ovaries is DEFINITELY is going to have a negative hormonal function. 👎🏼 😱

Loss of that estrogen and testosterone can really affect a woman's arousal and desire. It can affect the ability to have good blood flow to the ge***al region and cl****is, which of course is important for or**sm.

Making the decision to have a hysterectomy uterus alone might be fairly straightforward, but making the decision to add removal of the ovaries to that surgery definitely deserves a big discussion

❓ Do the ovaries need to be removed?
❓ If they do need to be removed, how are we going to replace those hormones?

For most women who are in menopause who are having difficulty with their arousal, it's mostly related to their hormones.

You may know that estrogen production stops after menopause, but testosterone is also declining. This leads to not only a decrease in libido, but also:

😤 Lack of energy
😤 Hot flashes and night sweats
😤 Poor focus or “brain fog”
😤 Anxiety, irritability, or anger
😤 Joint and muscle pain
😤 Difficulty with sleep

Proper hormone replacement not only relieves those symptoms, but adds a big kick to your libido as well.

Both testosterone and estrogen improve blood flow to the ge***als, making stimulation feel much better, increasing va**nal lubrication, and decreasing pain with pe*******on.

Estrogen and testosterone also improve the areas in our brain that are associated with arousal, because as you know, our BRAIN is the biggest s*x organ we’ve got!

11/18/2024

As we get older, blood vessels and nerves ending become smaller and less responsive. They take a lot more stimulation to give us the response that we used to get when we were younger.

So sometimes the best way around that is to actually encourage our body to grow new nerves and blood vessels in the cl****al and va**nal region so that there's just more there to be stimulated in the first place. 👍🏼 👌🏼

A great way to do that is with platelet-rich plasma, or PRP.

PRP can be a game changer for improving the sensitivity of the cl****is and va**na to stimulation. It stimulates additional nerve and blood vessels in the area of the cl****is and G-**ot, so normal stimulation leads to higher sensitivity!

The cl****is has over 8000 nerve endings that needs to spring to life during or**sm. 😊

If there is poor blood flow to the cl****is, it's harder for the nerves to do their job. So it's really important to maintain a healthy blood flow.

One of the main things you can do to maintain blood flow to the cl****is is using 💜 estrogen 💜 because there's a LOT of estrogen receptors on your cl****is.

Local va**nal estrogen applied in the form of a cream to the cl****is helps to vasodilate (that means open up blood vessels). We're going to get more blood flow to the cl****is in general. And when it's stimulated it's easier for it to be sensitive.

It's important to know that all pharmaceutical va**nal estrogen comes pre-packaged with a tube for intrava**nal application. It's fine to use intrava**nal estrogen cream, but I always recommend that you apply an additional small amount directly to the cl****is and massage it in. The intrava**nal estrogen doesn't really improve cl****al blood flow the way we want it to.

One of my favorite benefits of regular s*x is that it has actually been shown to boost our immune system. 😷 😷 😷

In one study, the VA actually showed that having s*x once to twice a week increases a level in our blood called IgA, or immunoglobulin A, by up to 30%.

IgA is one of the immunoglobulins that prevents bacteria from adhering to our cells. It's a very powerful part of our immune system. And this was a study that actually showed a very significant increase in IgA simply by regular s*xual activity. 👩🏻‍❤️‍💋‍👨🏻

10/28/2024

The G-**ot has been described as a cluster of nerve endings inside the top wall of the va**na.

Stimulation of the G-**ot could, in theory, bring women to or**sm, but the overwhelming majority of women cannot reach or**sm with pe*******on alone. So does this magical spot truly exist? 🤨 🤨 🤨

In the 1980s, some studies could identify a G-**ot, whereas others could not. If you combine all of those studies, the G-**ot was identified in more than half of the women. 🎉🎉🎉

When it was identified, it was reported as a swelling in the anterior va**nal wall. ❗️

Ultrasound does show us that there is a descent or a lowering of the top va**nal wall during pe*******on. Now, that makes sense, because this type of movement would try to increase the contact between the G-**ot and whatever is penetrating the va**na.

So this has led to a new concept...

The clitor-urethro-va**nal complex. (wow that’s a mouthful!)

This recognizes that all of these organs, the cl****is, the urethra, and the va**na, can be involved in or**smic stimulation.

So while all women have nerve endings in the area of the G-**ot, it’s not a magic button that we can press to lead to female pleasure. Stimulation should involve ALL the areas in a woman that can lead to happiness! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

High tone pelvic floor is very under recognized in the general population, and often among physicians as well.

The pelvic floor is a pretty amazing shelf of muscles that forms the base of our core, and supports our bladder, va**na and bowels. It should always have a little tension in it, so it holds everything up. 🆙 🔝

But if we jump, cough or laugh, it tightens up even more so we don't leak! And when we want to empty our bladder or move our bowels, it relaxes even more to let those things pass. During pe*******on, the pelvic floor should also relax.

But a high tone pelvic floor is when that muscle shelf is constantly tense and it can't relax properly, and that often leads to:

➡ Pain with pe*******on
➡ Partner feels like they hit “a wall”
➡ Partner can’t get all the way in

This happens when he's hitting a really tight gripped muscle that won’t dilate or open up. 😫 😭

Treatment for high tone pelvic floor might be working with a pelvic floor therapist to try to release that muscle. Sometimes they use some energy devices to kind of release the spasm in that muscle. And there are even some compounded medications that you can place in the va**na to help those high tone muscles relax more.

One of the more common things that many women don’t realize is that constipation can be a cause of pain during deep pe*******on. 🤢

I love teaching people with a pelvic model, because you can see just how close together the bladder, va**na, and bowels are.

There's only so much physical space there.

So if the bowels are all filled up with 💩, especially if it's very hard constipated stool, it's not going to feel comfortable adding anything into the va**na that’s going to stretch it out and push on that hard stool.

So having your bladder emptied AND having your bowels empty before s*x just generally improves how you feel. 🚽

If you struggle with chronic constipation, getting on a good bowel regimen of fluid, fiber, and stool softeners if needed can make penetrative s*x more comfortable.

Oil-based lubricants tend to have a heavier texture, as compared to water based ones, and many double as massage oils. 💆 💆🏻‍♀️ 💆🏽‍♂️

They are best for penetrative s*x, especially 🍑 s*x where you really need a long lasting lubrication.

They are also waterproof, since oil and water don't mix. They're great for use in the shower, tub or pool.

🌴 Since many oil-based l***s come from nut sources, it's critical that you avoid them if you have a serious nut allergy.

However oil-based l***s are messy, hard to clean up, and they do leave stains on sheets and clothing.

Because oils can be occlusive, they may increase your risk of infections if you're prone to va**nal infections. 👎🏼

And most importantly, they should not be used with latex condoms. The oil can break them down, which leads to an increased risk of a transmission of a s*xual infection or unintended pregnancy.

If you’re looking for the best oil-based l**e, stick with the safe plant-based oils like coconut, olive, avocado or almond. You can also use vitamin E oil, evening primrose oil, or even shea butter.

Silicone oil is thicker and much more slippery than water based lubrication, making it ideal for long lasting or intense s*xual activity. 💦 ❤️‍🔥 💦

This is my favorite type of l**e, since it’s waterproof and does not dry out quickly, meaning that it can be used in the shower or bath without washing away.

But be warned❗️❗️
Silicone on your shower floor makes it very slippery!

Silicone is a very large molecule, so it's not absorbed into the skin, but rather sits on top of the skin, which helps to reduce the risk of absorbing anything unhealthy into your body.

Plus, allergies to silicone are exceedingly rare, so it can be used by essentially everyone, even if you have sensitive skin.

Unlike water based lubrication, silicone lubrications are incredibly long lasting, so a little goes a long way and you don't need to frequently reapply.
