What are the clinical signs that your dog has developed heat stroke?

Heatstroke is the real deal in hot areas! Please walk your dog at cooler times of the day and monitor them outside.

Signs of heatstroke in dogs include: excessive panting,
bright red or pale gums,
vomiting or diarrhea (sometimes with blood),
lethargy,
weakness, and
collapse.
Other signs include increased heart rate, disorientation, and in some cases, seizures.

Get your dog to a cool area ASSP… Put cool (not cold) water on their paw 🐾 pads and belly area.
And get them checked out by a vet.

Just found out about a sweet pup that didn’t make it today because of this situation! 😥
