This past weekend I had the absolute pleasure of therapeutically supporting a wonderful teen who wanted so badly for her brother’s Bar Mitzvah to go smoothly…. But she and her family knew she needed help staying regulated during such a long time expected to sit quietly.
We worked on strategies and approaches for about 2 weeks prior to the event and we implemented them during the event. We planned for the hard times, planned tor the easier moments, and knew that if the plan didn’t work out we had the ability to create a new one!
While her brother did a beautiful job, upon completion of the 3 hour service when everyone was congratulating her brother, my client looked at me and proudly proclsimed, “I did it!” Yes you did!!!
