5 Forms of Self-Care for Postpartum 🤍
Postpartum is a season of healing, adjusting, and learning—not just for your baby, but for you, too. While “self-care” might sound like spa days and bubble baths, in this season it’s really about supporting your body + mind in simple, sustainable ways.
Here are 5 ways to care for yourself postpartum:
1️⃣ Nervous System Check-Ins
Pregnancy, birth, and motherhood create massive shifts in your nervous system. Gentle, nervous-system–focused chiropractic care helps restore balance, improve adaptability, and support recovery.
2️⃣ Rest When You Can
Even short naps or quiet breaks regulate cortisol, stabilize mood, and promote healing. Let go of “doing it all” for now—your body needs space to reset.
3️⃣ Nourish Intentionally
Choose nutrient-dense meals and snacks that support hormone balance, replenish minerals, and steady blood sugar—all of which impact mood, energy, and milk supply.
4️⃣ Support Your Core & Pelvic Floor
Work with a pelvic floor therapist or start gentle postpartum exercises to rebuild strength + stability. This helps prevent long-term discomfort and supports daily movement.
5️⃣ Ask for Help (and Accept It)
Meals, childcare, or simply companionship—saying “yes” to help lightens your load and gives your nervous system the space it needs to heal.
💛 Prioritizing yourself in postpartum isn’t selfish—it’s the foundation for showing up as the healthiest version of you for your baby and your family.
