Dr. Noah Lebowitz - Applied Kinesiology Dr Noah Lebowitz, is a chiropractor specializing in Applied Kinesiology on Maui and works with patients of all types to help optimize ones health.

Welcome to the site of Dr. Noah Lebowitz. My goal is to help each and every one of my patients restore their health and reach their optimal potential as quickly as possible. To be a doctor means to be a teacher, and my goal is to educate each and every one of my patients on how to regain their life. My treatment involves identifying any potential stressors to your body and eliminating them; thus, allowing your body to return to it’s natural healthy self. These stressors could involve food sensitivities, microbial imbalances, nutrient deficiencies, heavy metal toxicity, structural imbalances, and many other issues. I use Applied Kinesiology as my main technique, and then along with it use a myriad of techniques to help me deal with whatever issues are suspected from a complete medical history, physical exam, and any necessary lab work. Parents sacrifice everything for their kids. And in all honesty, that's the job that we sign up for when we decide to have kids. Children are our future and if we choose to bring them into the world, we need to do our best to give them every opportunity.

It's our responsibility to take care of their physical and mental well-being. Making sure they eat well, sleep, become educated, become good people. Etc

And while children come first, in my opinion. You can't completely ignore yourself. If you don't sleep, don't eat well, don't exercise. Then you aren't going to be the best version of yourself and can't be there 100% for your children

Far too many people want to get healthy but don't know where to start and don't know where to prioritize their money

For some people out there, money isn't an issue. You can buy the best right away and that's amazing. But for many people, that's not the case. So if you have to pick, where do you get the most bang for your buck in terms of optimizing your health?

I am not talking about a person that has to be put on a specific diet or a specific supplement protocol to get over a condition. I'm talking long-term overall health and wellness

I'm not a huge one into Health gadgets. Yes they can be fun, but honestly I think your money is better spent elsewhere in most cases

And just keep in mind. Every person and every situation is unique. So what I say here might not apply perfectly to you, but these are what I see to be most important from working with my clients over the years and how I get them to optimize their health

When it comes to depression there are a few different things that I see greatly benefit people

#1 is focusing on gut health. By getting rid of bad bacteria, parasites and fungal/candida issues you will change how your gut makes neurotransmitters and this alone will alleviate anxiety and depression in many people

The foods that you eat can also affect your mood. Gluten and dairy are too common ones that people see improvement when they give them up

#2. Supplement health
Ashwagandha supreme or albizia supreme are two of the more common supplements that I recommend to help people with depression. Depending on the person, one will often work better than the other and it's just trial to see which works better for you.
Mucuna supreme is another one


L-tyrosine ( ) Is one of the most common supplements that I use to help people with low energy or depression. It doesn't get absorbed well with food so I recommend taking one when you first wake up in the morning at least 30 minutes before breakfast. If you can't do this, then take it between 90 minutes after breakfast and at least 30 minutes before lunch.

This is for the depression I see more often where people want to be left alone

For depression where people like to call up everyone that they know and tell them what is wrong. We often see 5 hydroxytrptophan work better (5-htp). (Thorne research)

Pyridoxal 5 phosphate (active B6) is another one that can help (Thorne research)

#3. Lastly (but not least!). Emotional help can be huge!

Those are three great techniques to help support your emotional well-being and past traumas.

The reason I list brands of the different supplements above is I really do see the brand make a big difference.

Some people will consider myself the ultimate biohacker but I personally don't consider myself a biohacker

Am I always trying to optimize function? Yes.

Am I very strict on diet? Yes.

But I think a lot of time nowadays people are promoting all these gadgets and make you feel bad that if you don't spend tens of thousands of dollars on your health then you are going to be unhealthy

If biohacking is going back and eating a more ancient diet and using herbs for healing. Then yes, I'm a biohacker

But nowadays I feel like it's gotting into just trying out the latest and greatest inventions and a lot of them don't even have any track record

And it's funny. I actually filmed this video before my video last week on orthorexia. In this video I tell people to chill out and not stress as much over health. Maybe I should have posted this video first 🙂

Can people over obsess about healthy lifestyle and eating healthy? Yes. But honestly the world would be a much healthier place if more people obsessed over it

Am I extremely strict about food the way by for the house? Yes.

Will I take something out of my kid's hand if they are given something with food dye or high fructose corn syrup? Yes

Will I eat out of the restaurant? Yes. Not at one called dairy queen!. But I will eat out and just make the healthiest choice that I can on the menu.

The world is becoming unhealthier by the day. Focusing on your health and your diet is not a disorder and is the best way to live

Similar to a pharmaceutical company teaching medical doctors What drugs to use and when

Many natural physicians learn a lot of their nutrition from supplement companies. This is not a bad thing and a lot of great information can be gleaned. But there are a lot of different things that a supplement company won't generally teach doctors because it makes them look bad.

They cut corners to make a cheaper product. They add various ingredients that will increase inflammation to also increase the bottom line

Some supplement companies though honestly just don't know about these things and haven't been educated properly

I want to teach people how to read a supplement label and easily tell a good product versus a mediocre product versus a bad product

Taking a bad supplement is honestly worse than taking no supplement at all

These are just a few of the reasons why I'm so picky in the supplements that I personally take and also give to my patients. Whenever I mention a supplement brand. It's because I truly believe it's better than any other brand or product out there.

I don't reccomend probiotics. Most of the people coming in to see me are already on one, and the first thing I have them do it stop.

Most of the people don't notice any benefit, but they have been "trained" to think they need one to help improve their health. ACTUALLY in most people I find probiotics to hurt a person, and not help

Probiotic can give you SIBO and also increase your histamine levels

Also be care of taking Saccharomyces Boulardii. If you have any type of fungal or candida issue (most of my clients have this when they come in) then the body will often have anti Saccharomyces antibodies and create an inflammatory response due to molecular mimicry

How do I help ones gut?
Change the terrain. Change ones diet. Less inflammatory foods.
Take herbs that both INCREASE the function of the body and your immune system (lessening inflammation) AND they contain antimicrobial properties to help the body fight off pathogens.
