Every winter, we have the privilege of being part of something truly special: The Malden Warming Center.
Here, we welcome guests who are unhoused and facing immense challenges during the harshest time of the year. While we provide services for substance use disorder to anyone seeking treatment, we are so much more than that. We offer art therapy, —a chance, even if just for a moment, to step away from the unforgiving streets and bitter cold.
And then comes the final night… when we say goodbye. It’s never easy. We part ways with people we’ve come to know and care about, hoping they have found a safe, warm place to go and that brighter days lie ahead.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of something so deeply meaningful and life-changing. At its core, this work is about humanity—something we all have the power to practice every day.

Thank you to all the volunteers for your sacrifices all winter and to the managing staff of the MWC for inviting us in to be a part of this very special place!

While our mission is to provide support for substance use disorder, we are so much more for so many! We bring the resources to the community. Having a fixed location builds trust & helps people connect to services that they might otherwise not know how to navigate. The far reaching benefits of this program are immediate! We return to the Malden MBTA station on April 1st, M-F 4-7P.
Need immediate resources today, please reach out to Paul Hammersley 781-838-2203. We can also pair you with a female member of our team. All of your calls are held in the strictest confidentiality.

As The Malden Warming Center prepares to wrap up for the season, this time of year can bring a lot of uncertainty and anxiety for the guests as they begin to think about where they will safely rest next.
Our team is here to help—connecting guests with important resources like shelters, meals, and ongoing support. But just as important are the moments where they can pause, breathe, and simply be.
Through art therapy, guests are given the space to unwind and express themselves without the weight of daily struggles. Last night, creativity was in full bloom—birdhouses, mountain landscapes, and beach scenes filled the room, bringing a sense of spring and hope indoors.
There’s nothing quite like hearing laughter and seeing the pride on someone’s face when they return the next night to their creations on our table.
We’re grateful to be part of these moments—helping to ease stress, spark joy, and remind the guests that they are seen, valued, and not alone.
