Morning Rituals are so very important.
They allow you to step into your day fully present and with purpose. Receiving the day as it is, a present.
🌅
The first thing I do when I wake up is offer up a prayer of gratitude and say the mantra “Hari Bol, Hari Bol, Hari Bol”. Depending on the day and how much time I have I then put on a 10 min morning meditation connecting to my breath. 🌬️
I try to be aware of that first step I place on to the earth and where the day is going to take me.
Then I make my bed and put on my fav song 🎶 and dance to wake up my lymphatic system, or jump on a trampoline for about 3 mins. ⏱️
I turn the kettle on and while I’m waiting dry brush the body to again help my system flush. I alternate between hot water with lemon, a capful of apple cider vinegar in water and then a nice herbal tea or some .🫖🍵
In a perfect world I then sit and read for 10 mins and journal for 10. Now this is a practice…so I have to work at all of this…some weeks I am on it and others I struggle.
The reading and journaling part is probably my biggest struggle and the thing I drop if I’m feeling rushed to get into my day.
However it’s about getting your mind in order as much as it is getting your body in order. There is an Indigenous proverb that says “Everyone is a house with four rooms, a physical, a mental, an emotional and spiritual room. Most of us tend to live in one room most of the time, but unless we go into every room every day even if only to keep it aired, we are not a complete person.”
Is there a room you have been neglecting? How can you air it out? What rituals and practices can you invite in to your world in order to create more harmony within, because once we are in alignment we can begin to harmonize with the world around us.
