Cassy joined Citizen Advocates in August 2023 with a clear purpose: to support individuals navigating addiction and help them move toward recovery. Her work is rooted in compassion, understanding and a belief that change is possible.

Known for always going above and beyond, she plays an important role in ensuring patients receive the support and service they deserve while representing Citizen Advocates with excellence.

For Candy, nursing is more than a career. It’s something that has always been part of who she is.

“Caring for others has always been a part of who I am. Even as a little girl, I was the one looking out for people and noticing when something just wasn’t right. Nursing allows me to use that instinct every day, to advocate, to listen and to help people through some of their most difficult moments. Being able to recognize when someone needs help and step in to make a difference is what makes me proud to be a nurse.”

Kaity Charlton serves individuals and families through our Ogdensburg Behavioral Health Campus and will celebrate her one-year anniversary with Citizen Advocates this April.
