Capital Area PT opened from the vision of Andrew Gaetano and Evan Marsh as a start-up practice in August 2013. They attended graduate school together at Ithaca College, and early in their careers realized that they had something special to offer the profession of rehabilitation, health, and wellness. CAPT started with just two therapists trying to redesign the local vision of physical therapy and advance the landscape of current healthcare. It has since grown to include three locations and eight physical therapists with strong support from local doctors, hospitals, schools, and gyms.
Our mission is to provide a full circle approach to establishing, regaining, and maintaining the optimal health status and quality of life of our patients. We provide an opportunity to those patients to maximize their well-being and achieve their personal goals. We recognize each patient has unique needs and we adjust our approach to every person individually. We use an effective combination of evidence-based therapies including exercise, education, consultation, and manual/hands on therapy. Our main goal is to get patients back to living their best lives, free of pain or limitation.
WE’RE DIFFERENT
The care and services you receive at Capital Area PT are truly unlike anywhere else.
We pride ourselves on having a staff of PTs with various interests, both professionally and personally, to ensure that each patient ends up with the right fit. Our team is more like a family, and we maintain a fun and welcoming environment where you will feel at home and motivated to work toward your goals. All of our therapists have completed the highest level of training possible, and several also have additional specialties to best address your needs. Every treatment session is with a doctor of physical therapy who can reevaluate your needs and vary your treatments as needed. We encourage a variable treatment approach, utilizing a blend of evidence-based treatment methods, theories, and skills so your sessions never become stale or repetitive.
