Our Rural Health Clinics are participating in a Narcan distribution initiative designed to get life-saving overdose reversal medication into the hands of those who need it most. Through this program, our clinics become designated sites where patients and community members can receive Narcan (naloxone nasal spray) at no cost, whether they are personally at risk or know someone who might be. 🩺🤝
What Is NARCAN?
NARCAN is a 4 mg nasal spray that reverses opioid overdoses. It is safe, easy to use, and works within minutes. You cannot get high from it. If given to someone not experiencing an opioid overdose, it will not harm them.
When Should NARCAN Be Used? Use NARCAN if a person:
▪️ Is unresponsive or unconscious
▪️ Has slow or no breathing
▪️ Has blue/gray lips or fingernails
▪️ Is choking, gurgling, or snoring loudly while unresponsive
If you use this NARCAN kit during an overdose situation, please let us know as soon as possible. You can report a use by:

🏥 Letting your provider know at your next appointment
You do not need to share names or personal details of the person who overdosed—we only need to know that the medication was used. 🔄 We’ll help you get a replacement kit if needed.
