How ABA can be used in the classroom!🎉
Set Clear Expectations by using "SMART" goals (specific, measurable, achievable, realistic, time frame),
as a structure in mind to set age-appropriate expectations
Keep it simple with the ABA principles and techniques. Complex tasks can be broken down into smaller,
feasible steps towards the goal.
Adding routines will provide consistency to working to our goals while increasing independence.
Keep it simple, and gradually add on routines as students become familiar
with specific expectations.
Using visual instructions can be beneficial as vocal instructions can be difficult to remember.
Teach and use visuals to help provide reminders and prompts for students.
Implement a reinforcement system,
identify the behaviors you would like to see more of or increase.
Support should be specific and unique to every individual student.
