The Power of Intercessory Prayer!

The Heart of an Intercessor

Jesus once told His disciples that “men ought always to pray and not to faint” (Luke 18:1). Prayer is the cure for fainting hearts. When prayer stops, strength fades.

Jesus never asked us to do what He Himself did not practice. His entire life was anchored in prayer, deep, consistent, and heartfelt. But at the center, His prayer life was deeply invested in intercession — praying for others.

Intercession means standing in the gap on behalf of someone else, asking God for mercy, help, or a breakthrough. It’s the purest expression of love in prayer.

We see this heart in Jesus’ prayer for Peter:

“Simon, Simon, Satan has asked to sift you like wheat. But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail.”
(Luke 22:31–32)

Instead of JUDGING Peter’s weakness, Jesus PRAYED for him. That’s what LOVE does: it PRAYS instead of CONDEMNING.

True intercession begins when we see people the way God sees them, not as problems, but as those who are worth standing for in prayer. Like Jesus, we can learn to pray before we speak, to intercede before we act, and to love enough to pray for others even when they don’t ask.

John 8.

A woman caught in adultery is brought to Jesus. We see a story of grace, but also of Truth.

Jesus showed mercy to this woman, but at the same time called her to repentance from sin.

… “neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.” (John 8:11 NIV)

Is there perhaps something in your life that you need to leave behind, like the woman had to leave her life of sin?

“Then Jesus spoke again to the people he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”” (John 8:12 NIV)

“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” (Matthew 5:14 NIV)

As Christ followers we should be light bearers to the world, but to do that we must first understand it and live it ourselves. We must understand that our association with Christ affects how we engage life.

We wanted to share this amazing experience with the Erchonia Laser.

This mother brings their two daughters who they live about 50 minutes away from our office.

The daughter had been suffering a while with rashes under her eyes as well as her lips.

After adjusting her nervous system, opening up the nerve supply to restore brain-body communication, applied the laser for 10 minutes.
