Anna and I promoted our 33rd and 34th competitions this past Saturday and one of them was the Novice Battle.
This past year a woman reached out to the gym because her son’s dream was to be a Strongman.
She explained she wanted a place that he’d fit in and that he is autistic.
We spoke for a bit and the entire time in my head I kept visioning one man.
They came in and immediately felt at home and I said that I’m not the man for the job and that Santi needs to work with Kenny. Period.
There just isn’t another man that has his patience and understanding and softness so to speak, that was going to change this young man’s life.
Months of preparation Santi competed in his very first Strongman competition.
He was elated!
At one point, I of course was cheering and screaming my head off. (I know, so out of character for me). I looked over at his mom and she was in tears.
I received this text late that day..
“Million Thanks for changing my Santi’s life.
Thanks for existing, thanks for the kindness, the patience, the wisdom.
People like you is what makes this world worth living 💕💕💕💕”
Success isn’t how many IG followers I have, it’s this right here.
