My beautiful friend and colleague Dr. Haunani Chong Drake, host of the amazing Yinspired podcast invited to me to the podcast for deep conversation and a beautiful connection on life and wearing many hats one of which is being an acupuncturist. This is a short clip and I will attach the full episode if you’re interested in hearing my story.

Enjoy!

Thank you Dr. Haunani for all you do! You are amazing!

Healing an injured knee isn’t just about treating pain — it’s about restoring flow, strength, and balance to the whole body.

In Chinese medicine, we support recovery step by step:
✨ Acupuncture to reduce inflammation and move Qi & blood
🔥 Moxa to warm the channels and accelerate healing
🔴 Red light therapy to stimulate tissue repair
🤲 Tui na to release tight muscles and improve mobility
🌿 Ear seeds to continue supporting the knee between visits

When we combine these therapies, the body gets the message: it’s time to heal.

Pain relief. Better movement. Stronger support from the inside out.

Your body knows how to recover — sometimes it just needs the right tools.

Some days it feels like we’re juggling everything —work, kids, plans, responsibilities, dreams — and somewhere in the middle of it all we’re trying to stay present and make good choices for our health. It’s not always easy. 🤍
Through the lens of Chinese medicine, when life feels overwhelming, the Liver and Gallbladder are often the first to feel the stress.
The Liver helps keep our energy (Qi) moving smoothly, and the Gallbladder supports decision-making and forward momentum. When they’re strained, we can feel stuck, frustrated, scattered… even a little paralyzed about what to do next.
The goal isn’t perfection. It’s movement, nourishment, and intention.

Try starting your day with small anchors:
✨ Say one positive mantra before getting out of bed
✨ Move your body—even just 15 minutes of planks or a few cat-cows
✨ Get creative—just get on the mat and build the habit
✨ Eat real protein in the morning (eggs, salmon, steak, soup… breakfast doesn’t have to look like cereal commercials!)
✨ Take a few deep breaths before and after brushing your teeth
✨ Drink warm water with lemon or a simple bone broth to gently wake up digestion
Look at how other cultures nourish themselves in the morning—warm, grounding, protein-rich foods help stabilize energy and support the Liver so your day flows more smoothly.
When you start your morning with intention, your body follows.
When your body feels supported, your decisions feel clearer.
And when your energy moves… everything else begins to move too. 🌿

Start small. Start today. Just begin.

Life’s necessities!

A day in the life of an acupuncturist ✨

Needles to move qi
Tui na to release tension
Facial acupuncture to restore glow from the inside out
Cupping to open the pathways
Infrared + red light therapy to support deep healing
Herbal medicine to nourish the body systemically
Ear seeds to keep the treatment working long after you leave 🌿

Every treatment is different. Every body tells a different story.
My goal each day is to listen, support, and help your body remember how to heal itself.

This medicine is powerful. This medicine is whole-body care. And I feel so grateful to practice it every single day 🤍

Spring is supposed to feel energizing… but sometimes it brings frustration instead. In Chinese medicine, spring is connected to the Liver system — which helps keep our qi flowing smoothly. When that flow gets stuck, we feel it as stress, irritability, tension, or overwhelm.

The good news? You can move that qi in minutes.

Try this with me:
🌬 Take a deep breath and let out a shhhhhhhh sound
🤸‍♀️ Shake it out or jump up and down for 30 seconds
🚶‍♀️ Go for a quick walk outside
👐 Stretch your sides and open your chest and sigh! Sighing helps move the qi!

Movement + breath = flow.

Your body is asking to move. Listen to it. Move that qi and feel the shift!

Happy Spring!

Such an incredible afternoon at talking all things hormones through the lens of Chinese medicine ✨

We explored how the organ pathways influence stress, digestion, sleep, and overall balance, and everyone walked away with real tools they can use right away — including acupressure points and ear seeds 🙌

There is something so powerful about learning how your body works and realizing you can support it naturally and confidently 💫

Thank you so much for hosting me — I had the BEST time and loved sharing this space with such an amazing group 💛

More events like this coming soon… stay tuned 🌿
