Join us for our 5th topic in our parenting series!

Next up in our “Are We There Yet?” series: My Parent and Me. Have you ever noticed yourself saying and doing things with your own children that your own parents said or did with you? Or maybe you have charted your own course as a parent by vowing to NEVER be like “them”. We learn how to be a parent by watching how our parents treated us and our siblings. As adults we get to choose what we want to repeat and what we need to let go of. But that is not always so easy to do. Wouldn’t it be great if we learned to how to hold on to what was good and let go of what didn’t work? It is absolutely possible if we parent with intention. Please join Dr. Alan Dienstag and Dr. Katie Sawyer on Thursday March 12th at 9am for a conversation and some instruction on how to be a parent in the present.

Parenting in the digital age has never been harder. Tablets, smart phones, and laptops are everywhere. But it doesn’t have to be that way - we CAN set limits on the access that our children have to screens. With appropriate language and skills, parents can reclaim authority, uphold values, and hone relationships to help you parent in the digital age.

Together, we’ll explore:
How screens shape childhood development
How to define your family’s tech values—and stick to them
Tools to strengthen resilience in kids and parents

Please join LMCCC’s Dr. Alan Dienstag and Dr. Katie Sawyer THIS THURSDAY as we set the stage for meaningful change.
