April already? That means it’s time for a look back at the winter season ❄️

From first tracks to big smiles, this season was filled with moments that remind us why we do what we do. Days on the mountain, shared experiences, and a whole lot of stoke.

Grateful for our community, participants, volunteers, and supporters who make it all possible.

March Volunteer of the Month: David Scarborough!

After experiencing two traumatic brain injuries, David understands the power of support and now gives back through Access Mammoth.

His favorite part? Seeing participants out enjoying themselves and ending the day with smiles.

He’s looking forward to a summer full of mountain biking, hiking, and more.

We love the stoke, the energy, the community, and charging off the top of the mountain together. Days like this are what it’s all about at Access Mammoth—getting outside, making turns, and experiencing the mountain together. ❄️

From four years old to almost six, Hudson’s love for skiing has grown every run. ❄️🏔️

“Hudson joined Access Mammoth when he was just four years old. Doctors told us he would never be able to walk, so never did we think we would see him ski! At almost six years old, skiing is now his passion, and he looks forward to hitting the slopes every time we get the opportunity. As Hudson’s Dad, I cherish every moment being able to ski alongside Hudson and the Access Mammoth top-notch staff. This dream came true only because of Access Mammoth. What an incredible program this is!”

Thanks to Roy and the team at High Fives Foundation, who purchased Hudson his own bi-ski after meeting the family at our Access Mammoth Extravaganza, he can keep getting out on the mountain and doing what he loves.

Our February Volunteers of the Month are the incredible Soup Kitchen Team! 🥣❤️

All winter long, they’ve been keeping our community fueled with warm, home-cooked meals and a welcoming place to gather. What started as a simple idea from Hilary Schroeder has grown into a space full of comfort, connection, and care for our volunteers, staff, and friends across the mountain.

The stoke was HIGH and our participants were absolutely ripping on the mountain all weekend long.

Adaptive sport has the power to connect communities across the globe 🌎💙

Maggie Palchak, a former Access Mammoth staff member, recently traveled to Nepal as part of an adaptive sports exchange centered on “Diplomacy Through Sports.” While she is no longer on staff with Access Mammoth, we’re proud of the impact she continues to make in the adaptive community.

She and her team are working to ship 20+ sport wheelchairs, adaptive bikes, and equipment to adaptive athletes and programs in Nepal.

They are just $670 away from their $8,000 goal — 92% of the way there.

Since the lifts started spinning in November, we’ve facilitated 1,000+ lessons on snow and counting.

At Access Mammoth, that means 1,000+ moments of connection and time in the mountains for individuals of all ages and abilities. From first turns to personal bests, our instructors and volunteers are showing up every single day to create inclusive outdoor experiences.
