There is a bit of confusion with the Farmers’ Almanac announcement that 2026 will be their last publication after 208 years. There are TWO different publications, albeit somewhat similar.

➡️ The Old Farmer’s Almanac = history, heritage, and continuity. Originally published in 1792, this the oldest continually published almanac in North America. Combines long-range weather forecasts, astronomical data, gardening tips, recipes, folklore, and humor.

➡️ Farmers’ Almanac = practicality, lifestyle, and a modern twist on old wisdom. Originally published in 1818. Also provides long-range weather forecasts, gardening advice, home tips, natural remedies, and environmental articles.

Both offer proprietary “secret” formulas for long term weather prediction, which to say the least aren’t valid scientifically and are more pure folklore and entertainment only.

The Farmers’ Almanac will cease publication, The Old Farmer’s Almanac will continue.

United Healthcare decided to buy and run a bunch of doctors' offices, then didn't make enough $ so now they're closing them, leaving many people without their doctors and others without jobs. UnitedHealth/Optum is the worst, most difficult of the insurance companies I deal with.

Optum, a health provider operated by UnitedHealth Group, is closing offices at the Shore and laying off hundreds statewide. See link below ⬇️ bit.ly/4nMzVm2
