Thank you for ONE year in business. What a beautiful first year it has been! Thank you to my clients who place their trust in me, and for all of the support from my friends and family. it has been with so much pride and gratitude to watch as my practice has grown in the past few months. thankful for finding a perfect space and serendipity. thankful for support of family and friends, especially my husband. most of all, thank you to anyone who has trusted me enough to refer your loved ones to me. and thank you to my clients who trust me - and show up to do that hard work that is therapy. ⚓️

whatever kind of Monday you’re having, I hope you feel supported.

One of the first questions I ask clients beginning therapy is “have you been in therapy previously, and if so, what was your experience.”

I get many responses (unfortunately) about feeling invalidated, not seen or heard, or judged even - which obviously creates for a negative and not-so-therapeutic experience.

If you are considering seeking therapy, allow yourself to “shop around.” Many therapists (myself included) provide consultation calls. You’re worthy of finding someone who feels like they are a good fit. You’re allowed to do some interviewing too, I encourage you to ask the therapist questions about the things of value to you, especially when they impact the therapeutic relationship.

🐶 I have 2 dogs - my lab Henley, and my Newfie Bera
⚓️I love the ocean and anything outdoors
🏃🏻‍♀️I am an avid runner and have completed 3 marathons and 3 triathlons, as well as many other races
🧠 I am open about my personal struggles with anxiety and depression, and feel that this helps me connect to my clients
