Paul Borsetti

Paul Borsetti, age 90, of West Creek, NJ, passed away on May 29, 2026. He was born on March 2, 1936, in The Bronx, NY, to Nicholas and Stella Borsetti, the eldest of five siblings. Paul served six years in the Army National Guard of New York and was honorably discharged in 1960. He then devoted his entire civilian career to his craft as a butcher, spending more than 40 years with Pathmark Supermarkets before retiring in 2006. He was a proud and loyal member of UFCW Local 464A Meat Cutters Union.

On the evening of February 10, 1962 — at precisely 6:50 pm — Paul walked into the Silver Swan dance hall in East Hanover, NJ, and met the love of his life, Domenica (Minnie) Mastroianni. They were married eight months later, on October 21, 1962. The couple began their life together in Belleville, NJ, soon purchasing their first home in Old Bridge. In 1968, they settled in Clinton Township, Hunterdon County, where they raised their three children and remained for 37 years.

A man of wide-ranging intellectual curiosity, Paul had a lifelong passion for science — particularly astronomy, as well as animals and the physical sciences. He shared that passion generously, once organizing a nighttime sky observation for his son's middle school class. Paul enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening and landscaping.

After retirement, Paul and Minnie relocated to Barnegat, NJ, where they built an active and joyful life among many friends. Paul loved playing cards, especially pinochle and also enjoyed bocce ball. Together he and Minnie traveled to more than 60 countries across six continents throughout their marriage, with a particular fondness for cruising.

Following Minnie's passing in 2017, Paul found unexpected blessing in Joann Cichowski, whom he met through a widowers' group at Saint Mary's Catholic Church. They exchanged vows in the Church in 2020, each having known the gift of a long and loving first marriage. Joann cared for Paul with devotion until the very end — and Paul, true to form, was still winking at her in his final days. His children embraced Joann wholeheartedly as a cherished member of the family.

Paul was predeceased by his late wife, Minnie, his parents, and three of his siblings: Catherine, Roberta, and Nicholas. He is survived by his loving wife Joann; his sister Christine of Corona, CA; and his three children and their spouses: Paul and Cynthia Borsetti of Glenelg, MD; Rosann and Dr. Jeffrey Kaladas of Tewksbury Township, NJ; and Diane and Philip Cooley of Alpharetta, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren Kristine (and Cyrus Eslami), Victoria, Justin, Grace (and Noah Lee), Emily, Jenna, and Benjamin; his sister-in-law Theresa Borsetti; his brother-in-law and wife Salvatore and Mary Migliore; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 7, 2026, from 2pm to 4pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home in Manahawkin, NJ. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, June 8, 2026, 10:30am, at Saint Mary of the Pines Catholic Church, 100 Bishop Lane, Manahawkin, NJ. Entombment will follow mass at Immaculate Conception Cemetery & Mausoleum, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Paul’s Name to Ken’s Kitchen, address: St. Mary’s Church, P.O. Box 609, 747 W. Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ 08005.

Cynthia Joyce Russomanno

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cynthia Joyce Russomanno of Surf City, NJ on May 25, 2026 at the age of 78.

Cindy was born on May 14,1948 to George and Helen Dilmore of Pennsauken, NJ. As a child, she loved taking dance lessons and was a proud member of the National Honor Society and Pennettes along with some of her best friends.

She met the love of her life, Salvatore Russomanno, when they were just 13 years old. She peered through a classroom window while he was standing on top of a desk, a moment where opposites surely attracted. Shortly after graduating from Pennsauken High School in 1966, Salvatore proposed and the two were married. They moved to Medford, NJ and spent over 50 years together in the home they built and happily enjoyed their summers at the shore in Surf City, NJ. On September 28, 2025 they celebrated 57 years of marriage.

Cindy worked as a secretary at Reynold’s To***co until receiving news that their dreams had come true and they had been approved for adoption. She then chose to stay home and raise their two children, Sonya and Jonathan for most of their early childhood until returning to the workforce at Ferolie Foods in the late 1990s.

A lover of nature, Cindy frequently visited the animals at Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge with her children. She was known to take exceptional care of the local wildlife that would visit the kitchen door throughout the day with a special treat or leftovers from a meal.

She made Christmas, birthdays and holidays magical with her cookies, decorations and her award-winning creative designs for Halloween costumes. She found great joy in gardening, butterflies, flowers and summers in Surf City on Long Beach Island. Some of her best memories were made as a family in Surf City out on the family boat and hosting barbeques surrounded by friends and friends that became family; singing songs into the night on the deck under the stars. Most of all, she cherished her role as "Nana" to her grandchildren.

In her final months she was loved and taken care of by the wonderful staff at The Residence at Stafford in Manahawkin, NJ who treated Cindy like their own mother.

Cindy is survived by her loving husband, Salvatore Russomanno, daughter, Sonya Russomanno-Rizzo & fiancé Robert Young; son Jonathan Russomanno & wife Devon; grandchildren Wyatt, Andrew, Isabella, Gianna, Hannah, Meredith, Jacob & Robert; sister in law, Lucretia Betts; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, George and Helen Dilmore, brother, Gerald & sister in law Barbara Dilmore, and brother in law, Ken Betts.

A memorial service will be held in June to honor Cindy’s memory and will be announced here.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America at www.alzfdn.org and Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge in Medford, NJ at www.cedarrun.org

Eugene C. Tedeschi

Eugene Tedeschi, born in the Bronx, New York, ascended to heaven on April 22, 2026. He spent most of his life in New Jersey, where he built a life rooted in love, family, friendship, and an enduring passion for sports. His unexpected passing at home leaves a profound and immeasurable void in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Eugene was raised in Ramsey, New Jersey, where he developed a lifelong love of sports, often playing alongside his brother, Chris, and a close-knit circle of friends who remain bonded to this day. During these early years, he also discovered his deep affection for the Jersey Shore—a place that brought him peace and joy throughout his life. Later, he made his home in Manahawkin, where he formed lasting friendships through fishing, softball, and golf.

A proud graduate of Villanova University, Eugene earned a degree in Finance and a Master’s in Accounting. He carried his Villanova pride with him always, remaining a passionate and devoted supporter of Wildcats athletics for the rest of his life. Whether cheering from the stands or from home, his enthusiasm never wavered. He was equally devoted to his beloved New York Yankees, Giants, and Rangers—teams that brought him immense joy and created countless cherished memories, especially with his daughter, Sophia, his brother, his nephews, and his cousins.

Eugene married the love of his life, Julie, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering love. The birth of their daughter, Sophia—his “princess”—was one of the proudest moments of his life. He embraced fatherhood wholeheartedly, cherishing every moment and loving her beyond measure. His devotion to his family was the truest reflection of who he was.

Those who knew Eugene will remember his genuine kindness, quick wit, and generous spirit. He had a remarkable way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued, and his presence brought light and laughter wherever he went. He found joy in life’s simplest moments, especially those shared with the people he loved most.

Eugene’s deep Catholic faith was the foundation of his life. It guided his actions, shaped his character, and was a gift he passed on to his daughter. His family takes comfort in that faith now, trusting in God’s promise of eternal life and the hope of being reunited with him again.

He is predeceased by his parents, Eugene and Patricia Tedeschi.

Eugene is survived by his beloved wife, Julie, and his cherished daughter, Sophia; his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Carol; his sisters and brother-in-law, Antoinette; Margaret and Jeff; and Nancy; and his loving nieces and nephews, Kristin, Emma, Hannah, Brennan, Cole, McKenna, Bella, Jake, and Ryan. Godfather to Kristin, McKenna and Hunter.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5pm to 9pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Road, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am on Friday, May 1 at St. Francis Of Assisi, 4700 Long Beach Blvd., Brant Beach, NJ 08008. Jeffrey Edward Bauer

December 26, 1946 - April 5, 2026

Manahawkin, NJ

On Sunday, April 5, 2026, Jeffrey Edward Bauer passed away at his home in Beach Haven West, Manahawkin, NJ. He was 79.

Jeff was born the day after Christmas 1946 in Brooklyn, NY, the eldest son of Alfred Bauer and Gertrude Bauer. He grew up primarily in River Vale, NJ and graduated from Pascack Valley High School in Hillsdale. Jeff spent the first half of his life in northern NJ. In the late 1980s, he relocated to Manahawkin, NJ near Long Beach Island.

Jeff married and began a family early in life. He was a union electrician, a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 164, where he made many lifelong friends. In addition, for years he mentored future generations of electricians by serving as a teacher for Bergen County Vocational Technical School. Many of his students eventually became his coworkers and friends.

Jeff was devoted to his family. After raising his own children, Jeff took a particular interest in the lives of his nieces, his grandchildren, and their children. He had a well-earned reputation for being there to help them through the transition to adulthood and was a reliable guide for those he loved.

Anyone who really knew Jeff knew the things he loved doing best: Fishing and singing karaoke. For years Jeff fished almost daily, working on the Carolynn Ann III out of Viking Village at Barnegat Light. In the winter, he fished in the Florida Keys with a very close-knit group of friends from Matecumbe Resort in Islamorada, FL. Jeff served on the Board of Directors of Matecumbe and was instrumental in overseeing major electrical repairs after the resort was damaged by a hurricane.

Jeff loved to sing. Whenever he was in the Keys, he spent most nights singing at various venues with his friends and continued to sing while back home in NJ. Jeff’s choice of songs was heavy on the hits from the 1950s and 1960s. Some of his favorite songs to sing were “You're Sixteen” (Johnny Burnette), “Jambalaya on the Bayou” (Hank Williams), “North to Alaska” (Johnny Horton), and “The Ballad of John and Yoko (The Beatles), which he sang as a duet with his friend Nancy.

Jeff is survived by his son, Jeff and daughter-in-law Renee; daughter Tiffany; ex-wife Michele; sister Donna; brother Rick; cousin Donald and his family; nieces Stephanie, Jenna, Lauren, Kristen, and Lindsey and their families; grandchildren Julia, Dominick, Cassidy, Jaymi, Eric, and their families; and his special friend, Marianne.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 1pm to 3 pm at Maxwell-Tobie Funeral Home, 573 Mill Creek Rd, Manahawkin, NJ 08050. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Police Benevolent Association.
