🚨❄️ STORM SAFETY REMINDER – HELP US HELP YOU! ❄️🚨
Stafford Township Fire Company

With significant snowfall expected, we are asking all residents to take a few minutes to protect your home and your neighbors.

🔥 SHOVEL OUT FIRE HYDRANTS
Seconds matter in an emergency. If there is a hydrant near your home, please clear at least 3 feet of space all the way around it and make sure it is visible from the street. That quick action can save valuable time during a fire response.

🏠 CLEAR SNOW FROM GAS METERS & EXHAUST VENTS
Heavy snow can block:
• Gas meters
• Furnace vents
• Water heater exhausts
• Dryer vents

Blocked vents can cause dangerous carbon monoxide (CO) to build up inside your home.

⚠️ Carbon monoxide is colorless, odorless, and deadly.
Make sure:
✔️ All vents are cleared after each snowfall
✔️ Your CO detectors are working
✔️ Snow is not piled against your home

🚫 Never use generators, grills, or propane heaters inside your home or garage.

As we prepare for this storm, small preventative steps now can prevent major emergencies later.

Stay safe, check on your neighbors, and as always — we’re here if you need us.

A message from the Stafford Township Office of Emergency Management:

Blizzard like conditions are expected later today with predicted accumulations of snow ranging from 12 to 18 inches. Winds are expected to reach speeds in excess of 40mph – high winds may cause power outages. If you intend to use a generator to power your home, please do so safely. Coastal flooding is expected due to high storm surge.

Please move all vehicles, trailers, trash toters and portable basketball hoops from the roadway, so not to impede plowing operations.

The expected storm conditions are significant and may cause delays in emergency response. Please be patient.

Please stay off the roadways, if possible. If you need to drive, please do so safely and leave plenty of time for travel.

If needed, the Emergency Operations Center is open and you may contact us directly at 609-597-1218 or 609-597-1622.

Different day, same message… PLEASE STAY SAFE!! Heed all the warnings you are seeing throughout various media outlets.

❌🚙❌ Stay off the roads and allow the plows to do their jobs.

🪏❄️ If you are outside shoveling snow, take it easy! This snow will be wet and heavy, known as “heart attack snow,” due to the ability for quick exhaustion and heavy exertion.

Be safe Stafford! Call 911 for any emergencies!
