We are a fully qualified 501 (c) 3 non profit organization. We work very hard to insure cost is not a barrier.

The mission of The Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore is to provide hope and resiliency by providing professional counseling and prevention education and awareness programs. We are a non-profit corporation established to provide individual, couples and families with the inner strength and emotional resources to advance their emotional, spiritual, mental health and wellness with quality professional counseling and coaching services. Our staff is dedicated to integrating one’s faith and honors people from all backgrounds and beliefs.

The 2026 Spring Lake 5️⃣ Mile Run is coming up on Saturday, May 23, and we’re thrilled to share that five incredible runners are lacing up to support Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore. Each runner is pushing for a personal best while raising vital funds for our mission.

Our Mental Health Counseling Interns, Colleen Vermeulen and Samantha Myers, will guide each session with and , creating a safe space to explore your feelings and learn supportive strategies.

Can we brag a bit? 📢 Executive Director Susan Tellone and Chief of Staff Claire Minarick of The Samaritan Center at the Jersey Shore met with members of The Sons of Ireland at Val’s Tavern in Rumson to receive proceeds from the New Year’s Day ❄️ Polar Bear Plunge ❄️ in Asbury Park.

“We are so grateful for the generosity and commitment of the Sons of Ireland, and for everyone who braved the cold to support mental health in our community,” said Executive Director Susan Tellone.

This year’s plunge supported two local nonprofits making a difference every day. Samaritan Center and Hazlet’s Hope Network each received $22,500, strengthening vital services for individuals and families across Monmouth County.
