Congratulations to Sandra "Sandy" Stewart, BSN, RN, from our Behavioral Health Inpatient Program for receiving the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses from the DAISY Foundation! 🌼

Sandy was nominated by a patient for her outstanding and compassionate care during the patient's struggles with their mental health.

Sandy took the time to validate and understand the patient and assure them they were not alone.

"During a time when I could not care for myself at all — Nurse Sandy was an advocate for the weak, a shield for the scared, and an anchor through the storm. I could not be more thankful for the impact she had on me,” said the patient.

UVA Community Health has an exciting new opportunity for either a Clinical Research Manager or a Clinical Research Coordinator. This role supports the Affiliate Research Program within the UVA Health Systems Strategy Office and will help develop a clinical research program across affiliated partners.

Regular travel is required to UVA Community Health hospitals in Culpeper, Haymarket, and Prince William, as well as to Riverside Health System in Newport News.
