We help people of all ages who suffer from:
•Poor academic and/or athletic abilities.
•Autism & other developmental difficulties.
•Eye turns, lazy eye or amblyopia.
•Vision problems from trauma, neurological dysfunction or chronic disease
•Low Vision: Blurry Edges and Visual Holes

About Our Testing:
Drs. Tod Davis and Amy Carlyle examine key developmental vision areas that may interfere with learning and body coordination such as eye teaming and tracking, visual guidance of body movement, eye-hand
abilities, visualization, and visual memory. Optometric Vision Therapy:
Office and home procedures prescribed by Drs. Tod Davis and Amy Carlyle to develop vision processing and promote healthy vision. 12 months of treatment is common, but the length of time depends on the vision problems. Lens Therapy:
Specialized glasses prescribed to eliminate discomfort during reading, desk work and computer use. May contain bifocals, prisms,
or special tints. Low Vision Services:
Vision loss that cannot be corrected by ordinary glasses, contact lenses, medication or surgery is called low vision. If you have low vision, it is important to maximize the vision you have, and Dr. Amy Carlyle can help you do just that. Infant-See Program:
Even if no eye or vision problems are apparent, the American Optometric Association recommends scheduling your baby's first eye assessment at 6 months. First time exam for any child of 1 year or younger is FREE. Speakers Program:
Presentations on vision development for professional in-services and parent groups.

Did you know that the average person spends around 7 hours a day looking at a screen? The glare and reflections from computer, smartphone, and tablet screens can reduce blink rates by as much as 60%. When we concentrate intensely we tend to blink less, which can, in turn, lead to dry eye syndrome.

Symptoms of dry eye syndrome include red and dry eyes, irritated eyes, blurred vision, painful or stinging eyes, light sensitivity and mucus around the eyes.

Blinking helps keep our eyes healthy and comfortable. With every blink, the ocular surface is cleaned of debris and lubricated, so less blinking means more irritation and dryness.

Double vision occurs when a person sees a double image where there should only be one. The two images can be side by side, on top of one another, or both.

The condition can affect balance, movement, and reading ability.

If double vision affects just one eye, it is monocular. If it affects both eyes, it is binocular. Treatments depend on the cause and type. Call our office today to schedule your appointment!
