Sensitive Teeth
Is the taste of ice cream, a sip of hot coffee, sweet or very acidic foods and drinks, or breathing in cold air sometimes painful for you? Does brushing or flossing make you wince occasionally? If so, you may have sensitive teeth.
Sensitive teeth, also known as dentin hypersensitivity, is fairly common and can often be controlled by changing your oral hygiene routine or speaking with your dentist.
Your dentist can determine the problem and suggest appropriate treatments, such as desensitizing toothpaste, fluoride gel, a crown, inlay or bonding, depending on the problem.
