I am always happy to help you get the right fit with your carrier!

In the properly worn position, wearing your baby can help your baby’s muscles grow and strengthen into their ideal alignment, versus when your baby is lying flat. ⁣

Too much time laying flat can lead to the straightening of the curves of the spine that we want to develop!⁣

Our spines are supposed to have a curve in our lower back and neck - and gravity, along with the posture and position of your baby while wearing him or her, can aid in this process.⁣

Why You Need It

We would like to share a few quotes from Dr. David Brownstein’s book, “Iodine, Why You Need It, Why You Can’t Live Without It”.

"With Iodine Supplementation, hypothyroid and autoimmune thyroid symptoms improve. Cancer therapies are more effective when iodine deficiency is rectified. Most importantly, people feel better when the body is given the proper form and amounts of iodine." - Dr. David Brownstein

"Iodine is not only necessary for the production of thyroid hormone, it is also responsible for the production of all of the other hormones of the body. Adequate iodine levels are necessary for proper immune system function. Iodine contains potent antibacterial, anti-parasitic, antiviral and anticancer properties. Iodine is also effective for treating fibrocystic breasts and ovarian cysts". - Dr. David Brownstein

"Some of the conditions that would benefit from adequate iodine supplementation are and are not limited to: ADD, Atherosclerosis, Breast Diseases, Excess Mucus Production, Fatigue, Fibrocystic Breasts, Hemorrhoids, Headaches and Migraines, Hypertension, Infections, Liver Diseases, Ovarian Disease, Parotid Duct Stones, Prostate Disorders, Thyroid Disorders, Vaginal Infections and much more." - "Iodine, Why You Need It, Why You Can't Live Without It."

This is shocking.

Did you know that our food is laced with chemicals called endocrine disruptors?

These endocrine disrupters mimic hormones in the body's endocrine system causing hormonal imbalance.

We're exposed to these chemicals everyday and they really wreck havoc on your hormones.

They've also been linked to health risks like female and male infertility, early puberty, hormone dependent tumors like breast and prostate cancer and polycystic o***y syndrome (PCOS).

How Much Iodine do Women Need?

We get this question all the time. Unfortunately, most women are simply not getting enough iodine from diet alone.

To make things worse, many of those same women are afraid of taking too much iodine. This fear of iodine makes them take the minimal recommended amount per day, resulting in little to no noticeable health benefits.

Many health experts agree that the daily RDA for iodine was only established to help prevent goiters. Optimal daily dosages of iodine have actually been found to be 3 or 4 times higher!

This post explains how much iodine a woman needs everyday for optimal health.

"Have some grace. Be gentle with yourself.

Observe and collect the data."

Want to know what patterns need to be addressed for you to heal?

OBSERVE YOURSELF

Observe yourself when you feel triggered, when you feel angry, when you feel overwhelmed, frustrated, alone, etc.

These reactions are old patterns and they create biological responses in your body. (symptoms)

Don't get mad or frustrated at these old responses, they are automatic and designed for your survival.

Have some grace. Be gentle with yourself.

Observe and collect the data.

Then tell yourself next time that you will pause before you react.

You can CHOOSE a different response, but that first requires OBSERVATION.

What are some old patterns that you notice about yourself that you would like to shift?

Another reason to practice yoga during pregnancy: A study of pregnant women concluded that the women practicing prenatal yoga had statistically significant lower incidences of labor inductions, cesarean sections, low birth weights, and postpartum discomfort compared to control. The group practicing prenatal yoga also had a shorter first stage of labor compared to control.
