Sierra Leonean American Sisters United Sierra Leonean American Sisters United is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 organization in Virginia that is passionate about empowering women and children. SLASU.

is an all-volunteer organization. To keep its overhead cost low, SLASU's work is done in the homes of its volunteers and board members. SLASU always offers its sponsors the option of direct 100 percent of donations to the programs of their choice. All donations are tax deductible. SLASA works in partnership with other local and international nonprofit Women's organizations, microfinance organizations, or “banks for the poor,” in our operational areas, which allows us to tailor our programs to the needs and context of local communities. Our nonprofit partners share our vision, values and mission and are essential to our goal of helping the very poor create sustainable livelihoods.
