As many of you may be aware at this point, there has been a massive nationwide cyberattack of healthcare billing software systems. This attack has affected many small and large hospitals, as well as many healthcare practices.
Unfortunately, Manchester Medical Center is one of the many affected by this cyberattack.
What this has done has halted MMC’s ability to process patient claims, as well as halted MMC’s ability to receive any payment from most major insurance companies for services already provided.
Additionally, this disaster has affected pharmacies and the patients’ ability to obtain prescriptions. Please have patience and communicate with both MMC and your pharmacy if this disruption directly affects your ability to receive your prescriptions.
Our internal billing department, external billing company and Athena, our EHR system, are doing all things possible to remain informed, and diligent as to how we work through this disruption.
We thank you for your patience during this time, as we sort through these problems which are out of our control.
Please reach out to our billing department with any need for further information. We will do our best to answer any questions you may have.
