🌍💔 Feeling overwhelmed by everything going on around you?
You're not alone.

The world may feel noisy, chaotic, or uncertain right now. But in recovery and in Christ we find an anchor that holds steady no matter how rough the storm gets. âš“

In Celebrate Recovery, we’re reminded that even when everything feels out of control, God is still in control. He offers peace the world can’t give, and healing the world can’t take away. 🙌

đź’¬ Reflection:
You don’t have to fix everything. You don’t have to have it all together. Just take the next step. God will meet you there.

🙏 Prayer:
Father, when my heart is heavy and the world feels unstable, help me find peace in You. Quiet the fear and remind me that You are my safe place. Thank You for walking with me in recovery, one day at a time. Amen.

đź“– Bible Verse:
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
— John 14:27

💬 “Freedom is found in facing the truth.”

For many of us in recovery, truth was something we used to avoid because facing it meant confronting pain, shame, and regret. But what we’ve learned is that truth isn’t our enemy… it’s our doorway to freedom. 🙌

When we get honest about our struggles, our past, our Hurt's, Hang -Ups, and Habits, basically our need for help, God begins the healing process. The truth may hurt at first, but it never harms—it sets us free. 💥

đź“– Bible Verse:
“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
— John 8:32 (NIV)

🙏 Prayer:
Father, help me to be honest with You, with others, and with myself. Give me the courage to face the truth—knowing that in it, I’ll find the freedom only You can give. Thank You for loving me just as I am, and for not leaving me that way. Amen.

🌀 Reflection:
The truth might be hard to face, but it’s never heavier than carrying a lie. In Celebrate Recovery, we find a safe space to share our truth, and in doing so, we discover freedom, healing, and real hope. 💙

Celebrate Recovery open-share groups offer a safe and confidential space for individuals to find healing from life's hurts, habits, and hang-ups through a Christ-centered approach. These groups are gender-specific and based on a particular hurt, habit, or hang-up, providing a supportive environment to share experiences, strengths, and hopes.

Participants can find freedom from a variety of struggles, including addiction, co-dependency, anger, and other life challenges. Also, sense of belonging and connection with others who are on a similar path to recovery.

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭10‬:‭24‬-‭25‬ ‭

You are not alone in your struggles. God is willing and able to carry the weight you’re bearing. Surrendering control is key to healing and freedom. A practical application would be to write down your worries, fears, or burdens and pray over them, giving them to God. Share them in small groups—Celebrate Recovery provides a safe place to let go of shame, guilt, and control. Trust the process—God’s care isn’t just spiritual; it’s deeply personal and healing.

Dear Father, thank you for walking with us, helping us carry all our burdens, real and imagined, and for loving us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Principle 3: “Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.”

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬ ‭

“Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55‬:‭22‬ ‭

Your past does not define your identity or your future. Leaving the past behind can be challenging. However, nothing you’ve done is beyond redemption, and new beginnings are always possible.

Your identity is in Jesus Christ and not your mistakes. Shame is not your inheritance. Freedom comes through honesty, community, and surrender.

Make attending CR meetings a priority because you’ll find encouragement through community, be loved as you are, know that your story matters, and find that you’re not alone…lest we miss the new thing He is doing right in front of us!

But God commands us, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.” Isaiah 43:18

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭

Jesus is our source of life and light. God responded to the sin and brokenness of creation by sending His son to overcome the darkness of this world.
”Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.“
‭‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭3‬-‭5‬

Step 2 says, “We came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity.”
We need to remember to turn to God with all of our problems. He can bring us peace even when everything seems broken.
Psalm 34:4 says, “I sought the LORD, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.”

You can approach today with thankfulness and praise or moaning and groaning.

Today mattered to David because he saw the significance and sang,
“The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad.” Later he wrote: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts.”
Psalm 118:24

He worked to see the value of each day and he helped others do the same. Make today matter.
