HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.

Through different approaches, yoga attempts to remove blockages that prevent us from understanding ourselves more deeply, and relating to others from a more authentic place. Heart-opening asanas can also depend on the circulation of energy to remain stimulated and in balance. Recharging the physical, energetic shield expands our emotional capacities- contributes to us opening up better to others, ourselves, to feel compassion, empathy, love and gratitude.

Often we subconsciously hunching forward, crossing arms across chest, and lowering our gaze.

I welcome you to invite love into your life by opening your heart. To increase your love-attracting energy, repeat the words “I am worthy of love” breathing deeply and evenly as you maintain pose.

The practice contributes to entering a different state of consciousness and mindfulness of the present moment.

This better allows for the involvement of: increasing body awareness, releasing judgement, identifying tension in body, understanding thinking patterns and learning how to deal with difficult emotions.

You do NOT need to be flexible to practice yoga!
Flexibility should not dictate your yoga practice.
You must start somewhere, and right where you're at is perfect.

Arriving onto the mat goes deeper than the pose;
it's about uniting the mind and body.
A regular yoga practice can help you become more flexible over time.
Props (blanket, block, bolster, yoga strap), variations and modifications are available to assist in a safe practice.

When you show up to your mat and focus on your practice rather those around you, you will begin to evolve in body and mind.
Yoga is for everyone; it is not about pushing/ going to deep. Pain is not a gain! Rather, softening your mind, body and spirit
where you will then find a happier, healthier version of you.

This will be taught at a slower paced class sequenced with standing, seated, and supine postures, intended to build strength, enhance flexibility and balance, and calm the mind. Gentle transitions between postures.

I sought yoga when I was in need of healing, which I found the first time I stepped foot onto my yoga mat. Engaging both on and off of the mat, my practice soon became a lifestyle. Through yoga, I discovered a profound passion-strengthening my overall well-being: body, mind, and spirit. Alongside, I felt inspired to use my yoga experience and knowledge to help others in finding, and reaching their intent. I have obtained my RYT-200 Yoga Teaching certification, and continue to familiarize myself on different styles and approaches of teaching yoga, to better assist my clients in their journey to fulfillment.
