✨ YTT Student Spotlight ✨

Hey there!

My name is Michele, and I’m originally from Brazil 🇧🇷
I used to hate exercise—until the day I tried a yoga class for the first time (about 11 years ago).

Through yoga, I learned how to understand my body and respect it in ways I hadn’t before. Yoga gave me the courage to try new things, including other physical activities like martial arts.

If I had to choose a favorite pose, I’d say all three Warrior poses are my favorite, because they make me feel strong and empowered—ready to face whatever battles life throws my way! 😁💪🏻

When I signed up for the Yoga Teacher Training at Samadhi, I wasn’t sure what to expect, or even if it was the right decision for me. However, each weekend during our training, I felt closer to my classmates and teachers. I not only learned a lot about yoga principles and techniques, but also found a community of kindred spirits while improving my own practice.

If you’re wondering whether you should do the YTT or not, let this be the sign you’ve been waiting for: go for it!

Hope to see you around in class! ☺️

✨ YTT Student Spotlight ✨

Hi everyone! Nice to meet yall, I'm Casey.

My passion for yoga and pilates started at a very young age watching Denise Austin videos in my parents living room! As I've gotten older, yoga has become a way for me to disconnect from the demands of life. YTT has been the most amazing journey. It has connected me to an incredible group of women and expanded my knowledge of yoga tremendously. I can't recommend this program enough.

My favorite yoga pose is Wild Thing. I love the elegant expression of the pose and a good chest and spinal stretch!

I encourage anyone considering YTT to take this opportunity to truly do something for themselves and to embrace this opportunity. It will change your life for the better 💕

🔸Hey ya'll it's Maria. Can I just say how moving it is to watch all these amazing individuals grow through their yoga teacher training. This September will be our 3rd year of Yoga Teacher Training (since covid). I am so grateful to have a passionate team of Teachers to lead our 200hr Yoga Teacher Training here at Samadhi. Huge shout out to J Amy Thompson, Sushma Naik Reddy, Nicole Arel, and Sarita Nanda. I may show up every single weekend as administrative/moral support (and sometimes just to roll around on the floor) but, without you ladies, we wouldn't have all these smiling yoga teachers in these photos.
🔸
Want to know something kind of cool? Many of the faces you see here, you will also see on the mat next to you in class. Samadhi is about community, supporting one another. Maybe you have had or will have the opportunity to take a class with our YTT class of 2025 graduates or the upcoming class of 2026 graduates.

See you on the mat! 🧘

✨ YTT Student Spotlight ✨

Hi, I’m Jen 🤍

I came to yoga initially as another way to practice good self-care. What started as a physical practice quickly became something much deeper. Yoga has given me a way to slow down, reconnect with my body, and create space where there used to be urgency.

Over time, it’s become a practice of listening to my body, my breath, and what I actually need in the moment. It’s also taught me to approach each day with a little more patience and curiosity.

My favorite pose is Goddess. It’s where I feel powerful yet grounded, and it reminds me to show up fully.

A fun fact about me is that I’m an avid reader and will never miss an opportunity to watch a beautiful sunset.

Going through YTT has been such a meaningful experience. It’s deepened my understanding of yoga far beyond the poses and connected me with an incredible group of people. I’ve loved being a student in this space, and I know a part of me will always remain one.

Grateful to be on this path 🕉️
