Our Story

Studio Gratitude relocated to Manchester Center, VT in 2017 and is now owned and operated by Abby Skidmore :) Come in for a relaxing massage or reiki treatment at this cozy, private location. Contact me for private or small group yoga classes.

Bio:

Abby is a Bennington, VT native. After high school she went on to college to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2011. She studied Business and Spanish. After taking some time to travel Abby came home to start massage school at the Pyramid Holistic Wellness Center in Rutland, VT in 2012. There she was attuned to Reiki and her whole world opened up. She became a certified massage therapist (CMT) by the end of 2014. Abby completed a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Heart of the Village in Manchester, VT and was certified to teach in 2017. From there she went on to study Shamanism in Pownal, VT and is continuing her apprenticeship at The Roost. Abby has experience working at daycares with children, in nursing homes with elderly, doing respite care for people with special needs and trauma. She uses this experience and knowledge to create a safe and comfortable space for healing for her clients. She may be called a "healer" but believes one simply helps open the window of opportunity for her clients to do their own personal healing. In early 2019, Abby became a Reiki Master/Teacher and is currently teaching classes and workshops in Bennington and Manchester VT.
