Winter has a way of settling deep into the body.
Dryness. Restlessness. Tension that doesn’t quite shake out.

Ayurvedic Abhyanga massage is a warm oil massage designed to support the nervous system, nourish the skin, and bring the body back into a sense of safety and ease.

This treatment is especially supportive during deep winter, when vata qualities like cold, dryness, and overstimulation tend to show up more strongly.

If you’ve been feeling wound up, depleted, or disconnected from your body, this kind of slow, intentional care can make a real difference. A reminder that you don’t have to push through this season- you can be supported through it. 💜

Connection doesn’t have to be grand or performative.
Sometimes it looks like slowing down together.

Our Couples Massage and Couples Massage Lessons are designed to support presence, trust, and shared relaxation. Whether you’re celebrating a relationship, navigating a busy season, or simply wanting intentional time side by side.

For some couples, receiving care together feels restorative.
For others, learning simple, supportive touch becomes something they carry home with them.

However it shows up, the intention is the same:
more ease, more connection, and time to be fully in your bodies- together. ✨💛

We’re excited to officially welcome Lisa Roy to the Little Bird Wellness team 💜

Lisa is joining us as our Marketing Coordinator, and for now, you’ll most often find her at the front desks in both our Manchester and East Granby offices. This time at the desk is intentional—it’s all about getting to know our clients, our staff, and the day-to-day rhythm and culture of Little Bird Wellness from the inside out.

With a background in event management, design, and storytelling, Lisa brings a thoughtful, creative perspective to the role. As she settles in, she’ll be learning what makes this place feel the way it does—so she can help share that story in a way that feels clear, warm, and true to who we are.

We’re excited for her to step into this role, support our team, and yes… gently take a few things off the owner’s plate (which is a very big win 😅).

You may have noticed our social feeds have been a little quieter this month. That’s part of the transition—but keep an eye out. Fresh, thoughtful content is coming soon, and we can’t wait to share more of what’s happening behind the scenes.

Welcome, Lisa—we’re so glad you’re here.

Today we’re celebrating Jasara Hall and wishing her a very happy birthday 💜

Jasara has been an integral part of the Little Bird Wellness team for many years, and her presence is felt far beyond the treatment room. She consistently goes above and beyond—for her clients, for her coworkers, and for the overall care and culture of our Manchester office.

Her work as a massage therapist is thoughtful, skilled, and deeply client-centered. Jasara has a way of tuning in and offering exactly what’s needed, whether that’s focused therapeutic support or a session that allows someone to fully exhale and reset. Clients trust her, and our team relies on her personality and generous spirit.

We’re so grateful for everything Jasara brings to this space and for the care she gives so freely to the people around her. Please join us in wishing her a wonderful birthday and a year filled with ease, health, and well-deserved appreciation.

Today we’re celebrating Michael and wishing him a very happy birthday 💜

Michael is one of those practitioners who brings a steady, grounding presence into every session. His work is thoughtful, attentive, and deeply supportive—especially for clients looking to slow down, release tension, and feel more at ease in their bodies. He has a natural ability to meet people where they are and create space for real rest and recovery.

Beyond his technical skill, Michael’s calm demeanor and genuine care make him a trusted part of many clients’ regular wellness routines. We’re so grateful for the way he shows up for this work and for the people who walk through our doors.

Please join us in wishing Michael a wonderful birthday and a year filled with ease, health, and good moments both on and off the table.

Winter asks a lot from the body 💜

Between colder temperatures, less movement, heavier foods, and shorter days, it’s common to feel more sluggish or inflamed this time of year. The lymphatic system plays an important role in helping the body manage fluid balance, immune function, and overall circulation—and in winter, it often benefits from a little extra support.

Lymphatic massage is a gentle, purposeful form of bodywork that encourages healthy flow without forcing the body to “detox.” Clients often notice reduced puffiness, a lighter feeling in the body, and a greater sense of ease afterward.

This kind of care pairs beautifully with winter routines: warmth, consistency, rest, and nourishment. It’s not about pushing your system—it’s about supporting it.

Today we’re wishing a very happy birthday to Caitryn Byrka 💜

Caitryn brings a thoughtful, grounded presence to her work and a deep appreciation for how massage supports people through real life—especially when it comes to chronic pain, recovery, and the long road back to feeling like yourself again. After stepping away from massage for a period of time, she returned to the work with fresh perspective and a renewed respect for the role consistent care plays in quality of life.

Her sessions are informed by both experience and empathy. Caitryn understands firsthand how important it is to feel listened to, supported, and met where you are, and that shows in the way she works with clients.

We’re so glad to have her as part of the Little Bird Wellness team (at both offices!) and look forward to watching her practice continue to grow. Please join us in wishing Caitryn a wonderful birthday and a great year ahead.

This weekend, Little Bird Wellness was featured on New England Perspective on FOX61, and we’re feeling incredibly grateful 💜

The segment focused on holistic health and the importance of personalized, whole-person care—something that’s at the heart of everything we do. It was an opportunity to talk about supporting the body through stress, seasonal shifts, and everyday life with thoughtful, integrative care rather than quick fixes.

We’re thankful for the chance to represent this work and to share the message that healing doesn’t have to be rushed or one-size-fits-all. If you caught the episode, thank you for tuning in—and if not, we’ll be sharing the link so you can watch when it’s convenient.

As always, we appreciate this community and the trust you place in us. It truly means everything.

Winter has a way of showing us where we’re out of rhythm 💜

In Ayurveda, this time of year is considered vata season—cold, dry, and changeable. When vata is out of balance, you might notice things like dry skin, stiffness, restless sleep, scattered energy, or feeling more anxious than usual.

The antidote isn’t doing more. It’s doing things more consistently and with intention.

Winter vata support often looks like:
~Warm, nourishing meals
~Regular routines (especially sleep and meals)
~Gentle movement and bodywork
~Plenty of rest and grounding touch

This season invites us to slow down, warm up, and create steadiness where the world feels a little sharp around the edges. Supporting vata now helps you feel more settled—not just in winter, but as you move toward spring.

After the holidays, many people notice that their bodies feel a little heavier, puffier, or slower to bounce back 💜

That’s where lymphatic massage can be especially supportive. This gentle, intentional style of bodywork helps encourage healthy lymph flow, which plays a key role in immune support, fluid balance, and the body’s natural clearing processes.

In winter—especially after a season of rich food, disrupted routines, and extra stress—lymphatic work can help your system feel more supported and less overwhelmed. Clients often describe feeling lighter, clearer, and more at ease afterward.

January is a beautiful time for this kind of care. Not to force a reset, but to help your body do what it already knows how to do—just with a little extra support.
