Hear Amy describe how Dismas Home NH helps women get and stay healthy! We dig deep. Intensive therapy, 24/7 support, learning tools to help re-integrate, and a home environment for 3-15 months.
All of our current residents are moms and this program provides a key step to helping break family cycles of addiction and dysfunction.

We’re proud to share that our Executive Director, Cheryll Andrews, recently joined a New Hampshire Business Review panel on mental health in the workplace—an issue that’s closely connected to the work we do every day at Dismas Home. 💙
Creating a culture that truly supports mental health starts with leadership. By modeling resilience and healthy coping strategies, leaders help set the tone for wellbeing across the entire organization.
Thank you to the panel organizers and fellow panelists for helping move this important conversation forward!

Meet Joyce Kelley, a Vice President and Business Banking Relationship Manager for M&T Bank. She is also a board member for Dismas Home and is a motorcycle rider looking forward to International Female Ride Day on May 2, 2026.
In her own words:
“I ride because it represents strength and self-trust… It means owning your space, your voice, and your direction. I also ride to set an example for my daughters and granddaughters: to show them that women can be strong, confident, compassionate, and unafraid to lead with purpose.
That belief is at the heart of why I’m raising money for Dismas Home, a place that empowers women with second chances, dignity, and the support needed to rebuild their lives. It stands for accountability, resilience, and the belief that transformation is possible when people are given opportunity and support.”

We at Dismas Home were grateful for the opportunity to attend Tuesday’s legislative luncheon, hosted by the New Hampshire Women's Foundation.
It was a privilege to connect with legislators and share more about our mission, the work we’re doing, and the impact we are making for women with the courage to change.
Conversations like these are so important, and we appreciate the time, attention, and engagement from those we spoke to.

Dismas Home’s holistic care transforms the lives of formerly incarcerated women.
DHNH is a state licensed, 90-day, Low-Intensity, Residential Alcohol and Drug Rehabilitation Treatment and Reentry Program. Addiction is a significant obstacle for our residents and is directly linked to underlying pain, trauma, and incarceration.
A family-like, home environment offers holistic care providing whatever is needed to transform our resident’s lives. Each resident participates in daily group therapies and receives individual psychotherapy and intensive case management. Our diverse, evidenced-based programming supports the wellbeing of body, mind, and spirit. Loving care and assistance are available 24/7.
Dismas Home exists to successfully transition our residents back into New Hampshire communities to live a sober, mentally and physically healthy life. Our Transitional Living Program breaks the cycle of returning to prison and assists our residents to become self-sufficient and productive citizens.
Dismas Home collaborates with colleges and universities, non-profit organizations, community and civic organizations, experts, and volunteers to provide the formerly incarcerated with the best opportunities to succeed in their transition back into society in a structured, accountable environment.
Together we can save the taxpayers of New Hampshire significant tax dollars annually by reducing recidivism, keep families intact by providing hope, dignity, and support their loved ones, and work closely with federal, state, and local correctional authorities and agencies to navigate the challenges of reentry into society.
