Please join us in congratulating Shawn McCormick on his promotion to Field Supervisor!

Shawn’s EMS journey began nearly three decades ago, when he completed his EMT-Basic class in 1994 and EMT-Intermediate in 1995 at Bristol Hospital. He launched his career with AMR Waterbury in May 1995 before continuing his education, graduating from the New Haven Sponsor Hospital Paramedic Program in 1999, where he earned the Best Internship Award.

That same year, Shawn began his Paramedic career at Bristol Health EMS, where his dedication and leadership led to multiple promotions: FTO in 2003, Operations Supervisor in 2012, and Manager of Professional Standards, FTO Coordinator, and EMS Coordinator in 2020.

In April 2022, Shawn joined ASM as a Paramedic. His impact was quickly felt, leading to his promotion to Paramedic Preceptor in June 2025 and now Field Supervisor in July 2025.

With decades of experience, proven leadership, and a passion for developing others, Shawn is a tremendous addition to the leadership team. We are proud to celebrate this well-earned achievement!

Please join us in congratulating Adam Fine on his promotion to Supervisor!

Adam began his journey with ASM in March 2007 as an EMT-Basic. In 2010, he became a Paramedic after completing Capital Community College’s program. Over the years, Adam has demonstrated exceptional dedication to patient care and team development.

In 2022, he assumed the role of Preceptor, where he has since helped train and mentor several cleared paramedics, shaping the future of our profession.

Adam’s leadership, clinical expertise, and commitment to excellence make him an incredible addition to the Supervisor team. We’re proud of his accomplishments and excited to see the positive impact he will continue to make in this new role.

On Tuesday, the Ambulance Service of Manchester had the privilege of supporting at their Car Seat Distribution event at Northwest Park in Manchester.
This amazing nonprofit works hard to keep families safe by providing car seats to those in need. We’re proud to stand alongside organizations that make a real difference in our community.

Please join us in congratulating Cory Lachance on his 20th anniversary with the Ambulance Service of Manchester! Hired on July 20, 2005 as an EMT-B, Cory has been a cornerstone of our team ever since. Over the years, he has continually advanced his skills and leadership. He earned certification as an EMT-Intermediate in 2007, was appointed as a Field Training Officer in 2009, and earned EMS Instructor certification in 2011.

As an instructor, Cory has educated countless EMTs while teaching initial certification, recertification, and a variety of continuing medical education courses. He also helps to train all of our newly appointed Field Training Officers in educational best practices and has taught CPR, First Aid, and Stop the Bleed courses to members of the community.

Cory has played a vital role in securing lifesaving equipment for both ASM and our sister company, Aetna Ambulance, through grant writing and has helped craft and refine many of ASM's policies and procedures.

Thank you, Cory, for two decades of service!

Their courage and sacrifice allow us to live in freedom, something we never take for granted.

We’re proud to serve our community, and we do so with deep respect for those who served before us and never came home.
